SR's a lot like WP in the sense it's got a ton of passive powers. Both are fantastic. Though I only like SR on a scrapper. I tried it on a brute and bleh.

I tried it on a tank and completely OP. Except for that 5% that is.

Everything goes with willpower so I won't bring it up.
This is my first attempt with a /WP setup. I've wanted to try it since I hear alot of people both in and out of the game say how great it is. Truthfully, I find it kinda meh (maybe it'll get better if I slot it with some LotG and Aegis), but I think in the future I'll stick with either Ice, Elec, or Nin for my stalker secondaries.

WP is kinda crap on a Stalker. It's great on every other melee AT though. Problem with it on Stalkers is they lose one of the ( if not THE ) greatest powers from the set: Rise to the Challenge.

Wrong.

WP is one of the better sets on Stalkers, the best probably being Ice Armor followed by Ninjutsu.

The lost of Rise to the Challenge is actually welcomed because you get greater returns on HP with Reconstruction. Why? Because Stalker's HP isn't quite that high so +Regen has a diminished effect (not to mention you need to be surrounded by lots of foes for it to work). Reconstruction? Returns more HP on average than RttC would on Stalkers. It's a different story for Tankers and Brutes with their higher than normal HP...for Scrappers? Eh...it's not bad...could probably go both ways...if Scrapper WP had Reconstruction, it'd mesh well with their tendency to build for rech for better DPS.

But yeah...WP is great on Stalkers.

That's the opposite of everything I've heard up until now, but I'll not argue it since I've never used it on Stalkers myself. Just passing on second-hand info with my comment up there.

It's great!

Now more so!

/WP Stalkers can reach the HP cap, only Ice Armor and Regen can do the same.

I recall it being said, on a Scrapper, Reconstuction in the place of RTTC, would be equal to 3 or 4 enemies in RTTC. So might be a bit different for Stalkers, but likely better than RTTC with their lower HP (maybe not though, since like I said, they can cap their HP).

It is not a bad set for Stalkers at all. Especially if you take IOs into account. Softcap at least S/L, have some resists to go with it and more HP!

Sorry to come off harsh, was meant more to just explain. But this is coming from experience with Stalker WP (and Dark/WP none the less). Barring 1-shot scenarios, it's pretty hard to kill...basically like any WP character. Just accept the freedom of not being tied to crowds and it does amazingly well.

Also, this ramps up higher with recharge buffs.

Besides that, there's also the +15% toxic resistance granted by Reconstruction that no equivalent power gets on the other melees...of course, the Stalker loses Quick Recovery in turn...

And that can hurt. My SF/WP Stalker wishes she had it!

Hi everyone,

The amount of venom in this thread is rather distressing, to say the least. We encourage constructive discussion on these boards, but name-calling, insulting each other, and so on is not behavior that is appropriate to these forums. Please keep this in mind when posting, both here, and in other threads on these forums.

Thank you,
~Mod13

The only thing that has "let me down" about Staff fighting so far is the lack in variety of pole-arms. After the good job done with TW I can't fathom why the selection is so lacking. I mean how difficult is it to make a stick?

Who do I have to *&^% around here to get more Targeted AoE recipes added?
