I was drawing a parallel with a coffee shop punch card to give another example of an award given for specific circumstances, regardless of other business done with the shop. The game can't detect your motives - or lack thereof - for letting your account lapse. It only knows if you have or if you haven't, and that's what the award is based on. That's one reason why I hope the items will be made available in the Shop at some point in the future... the more options for people to get the things they want, the better. |
I'm perfectly aware of why I didn't receive the content. I am annoyed that it's a minor technicality that gyps me of it, but I can live with it assuming that I'm not permanently barred from it's access.
Like I said in my first post, regardless of the time I have subbed and amount I pay into the game, the group that values what they gave (even though it is less time and money dedicated) responding that they should possess the content alone, and their apparent superiority on the topic is 'awesome'.
And by awesome I mean it's a damn shame.
EDIT: Or in short, I don't like playing second fiddle to self-entitled twits in spite of the loyalty I actually display. I could have been more clear in that aspect though. >_>

Anyway, yes, you are correct, it IS like saying "you shop at the store every day for 6 months, that you get a loyalty reward. It did not matter if you have been shopping at the store on and off for 7-8 years..." (emphasis mine) to use your own words.
Then you completely MISS the whole slap-in-the-face to the person who's been with them for 7-8 years because, well, technically, you weren't here everyday from point A to point B in the last 6 months. So, as Steve Martin used to say, "Well, Eeeexxxccuuuuuuuuuse ME!". Not sure if you are a joker or just one of those "I MUST REPLY TO ANYTHING" type people, I'm not on the forums hardly AT ALL to know; but know this: your analogy was apt, but your conclusion what out of left field. Way out.

Simple solution: Next time they offer a deal on a long-term subscription, buy one. I think the 12+2 month sub ends up being like $10.25/mo. Then you never have to worry about missing out on a loyalty reward again.

As this is a billing issue, the only group that can help you is the Customer Support team.

I was wondering when these were unlocking.
Considering my account has had no more than 48 hours downtime since launch, I was waiting. This does not make me happy.
I'm also waiting on my 8 Year Veteran badge, mind.

When in doubt, check Most recent under your badges. Finding the costume parts can be tricky but badges shouldn't be.
Even if the message never appears the badge should be near the top of the badge list (unless you badge a lot, but it will still be on the list)

It really is one of the greatest things ever. Still, in my opinion, one of the best co-op games of all time. TJ&E makes me so happy.

Darn, Looks like I missed out on this since I wasn't online during April at all, Any chance any of this will pop up in the market? 
Hey, I'm pretty sure I had an active account during that time period, and i haven't gotten any of these rewards yet, is there a waiting period? I just want to know if I am eligible or not for the rewards.
