Blue Steel..ae baby!

I thought the Blue Steel meme had its origins in the old mission where you find the body of the Clockwork King (his human body) - Blue Steel smashed him to a pulp, and of course the Clockwork King went on to get his new "body".

Plus, monsters hide under Blue Steel's bed because they're afraid of HIM.

A lot of the high-level missions for Villains have a sort of happy ending, as though even the people who played CoV were good people. This was usually in the form of the villains being THIS close to winning, but then they get word that whatever captive or whatever ended up getting rescued by Blue Steel.

Let's see... Happened twice to Westin Phipps: once with Miss Francine and the other with Ido and Hugo... Once to Ghost Widow as she attempted to destroy Numina... Once to Ambassador Kuhr'Rekt when he was plotting against Valkyrie... Once to Vernon von Grun as he was interrogating kidnapped scientists about the Devouring Earth... Can't think of any more at the moment.

As a result, he was the go-to guy when something needed to happen, and the Chuck Norris-esque meme developed shortly thereafter.
So Blue Steel is replacing statesman?

I was disappointed when I kicked his *** so much in that mission. I was completely prepared to start crying like a little child when he rocked up.

Actually he mastered all of them one day when he strolled the streets of Praetoria.

Blue Steel is the reason why there is a limit on how far the Pillars of Ice and Flame can carry a person.

Blue Steel once punched a Rikti so hard that the mothership crashed landed in what we now call the Rikti War Zone.

The Well of Furies feeds off a trickle of Blue Steel's energies. If Blue Steel wishes, all super powered individuals would become normal again.

Blue Steel spared you the humiliation. Besides, that wasn't the REAL Blue Steel... He sent in an inferior robot that looked like him.

No, it was a copy of him set as a new enemy type they're testing, which is lower than Underling.

Prometheus is actually Blue Steel's side kick. Blue Steel sent Prometheus to help us combat the Well because the Well was grey to Blue Steel.

You have to expect him being special. The area you first see him had the main theme going-the old Title Screen/Level Up theme, didn't it? They 'gave' him it, you have to believe a guy getting that behind him is going to be special.

The Coming Storm that Ouroboros keeps warning us about is actually a battle royale between Blue Steel, Chuck Norris, duct tape and bacon. The sheer magnitude of this battle WILL destroy the multiverse AND the time-space continuum.

I dunno. Of the three, I think Blue Steel will be the clear winner.

Formerly confirmed. Now retconned or just ignored. Then again, Maelstrom's supposed to be DP/EM, Lord Recluse is supposed to be an MM (and there's only one version of him that summons minions if I recall), and Ghost Widow is a Dom who thinks Dark Miasma is a control set.

I'm pretty sure this was the devs' way of killing off the Blue Steel meme.

The one in "Time After Time" does, as does the STF and the one in Recluse's Victory. Which one doesn't?

At least both the STF and the version you fight in the villainside arcs uses his "Summon Army" power.

*spoilers*

The Lord Recluse ally in Dark Astoria doesn't summon pets at all. Just fires lasers and claws people with his spider legs.

Uh... I'll assume villains get a slightly different take than Heroes.

I played a villain (well, rogue) in those arcs and didn't get a Lord Recluse ally.

However, I always said "Oh, no, I don't need help, assign those people to other places"

In Praetor Duncan's first mission you have the option to clear the map and free all the hostages (unnecessary for completion). If you do so, Numina will show up at the end of the arc to help you. In my run, she fell about a third of the way through the mission.
