Staff fighting NOT launching with i22...
Yeah, but they said all along it was not coming until after I22. I agree it has been ready on BETA about four weeks now.
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.
Awww that just sucks I loved my Staff/Wp Brute on Beta... guess I will just have to settle for a new Beast Master MM until it launches.

I think they will keep Staff fighting for a while and will sell Beast mastery at market first, to balance things a bit because we had 2 melee powerset releases at market the last months.
Im hoping they're just saving Staff Fighting for next week, as some of us would LOVE to get in on double xp with the new set
Not launching with i22! But a week after is good!
or putting Staff Fighting on sale the day before double xp then taking it down untill later would also work! >_>

Since it is a market release, they probably have something planned for the 6th and will release Staff fighting on the 13th.
We know for sure that Beast Mastery is releasing in March from War Witch's producer letter, but there was no mention of Staff Fighting at all...

Customer: "Yes I'm calling about the product I ordered, it's complete and ready right?"
Company: "Yes sir!"
Customer: "And you shipped it next day air, to arrive with my other items right?"
Company: "Oh, no sir, we shipped it on a small dingy that'll have to go all the way around the cape of South America first. We figured the delay would give you more time to enjoy the other items you ordered. Thereby increasing your 'future' enjoyment of the other item when it does arrive."
Customer: "But me wants Staff Nao!"

They've always been upfront that it wouldn't be included with Issue 22's launch.
I figured it'd be released a week later though, not held back for another month...

Street Justice didn't come out until a week after I21, so we might see that with Staff Fighting for I22.

I hope it's more like this scenario.

It was talked about in... seems like every discussion of Staff Fighting since its announcement, but maybe my memory is exaggerating that. It was definitely mentioned more than once, and repeated a lot by players in various threads, and has generally been known for quite some time. Not that I can fault anyone for not knowing every detail of the upcoming issue, especially if they haven't been following things closely.
The Producer's Letter talks about the releases planned for March, and says nothing of Staff Fighting. That's not proof it will be April or later, but it seems strongly implied.

That would suck and frankly would deserve some kind of explanation as to WHY staff would not be released earlier if they make no changes since the sound change was all that was needed.

I totally agree, Khasei. Nevertheless, that's how it's looking right now.
And all my excitement for Tuesday just went down the drain Hopefully they don't wait too long.

Hopefully they're reworking the sound effects for it, the last ones I heard were horrible. It sounded like I was hitting a plastic sheet with a whiffle-ball bat. While the original sounds weren't perfect, they were much more realistic than what was in Beta a couple weeks ago. Thump-thump-thump > fap-fap-fap.
The original sounds were often said to make the set into q-tip melee. Very soft air-woosh effect with a subtle padded-like hit effect. In early levels, using a staff attack with brawl used in the attack chain sounded as if brawl was the heavy hitter of your attacks.
The current sounds are often said to sound like someone twirled an aluminum trash can around the end of a stick for the air-woosh. The hit effect sometimes blends with this and ends up sounding almost thunderous.
Some people liked the first, many didn't.
They changed it.
Some people like the second, some prefer the first to the second, many people seem to not like the second or the first at all.
I think it's pretty safe to say the common consensus is that the first sfx didn't go far enough, and the second is overkill.

Was looking forward to staff more so than Dark Astoria. No reason to play on double exp weekend for me if I don't have any fun new toons to work with, either.
