There are also the surnames of NCsoft Europe staff people there (I have found Kerensky, Aero and a couple of others there)

I got a kick out of the other Grandville easter egg - the one with a small puddle with a level 14 Coralax.

At first glance, I bet the Easter Egg has to do with the Clockwork Numerical designations.

Yeah, I tried to crack the code, but am stuck. I notice the Underground numbers are reversed 3 digit - 2 digit, so I tried using them in reverse which reveals that one of the Underground numbers is the same as an above ground... a double letter?

By trashed do you mean removed, or redesigned to be trashed?

Redesigned so it looks trashed.
Meaning, somewhere in Praetoria is a new Dev's lounge/office :P

Really? Because the Shadow Shard predates 2008.

I can confirm this... Having found myself, Z, my other half and numerous other EU based players.

Previously, they might have been "random" names, but EU players are *definitely* in Firebase Zulu as soldiers (although they do randomly cycle through when they run despawn/respawn).

I have a screenshot of my soldier telling Z's soldier off laying around somewhere.

Pics or it didn't happen.

Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.

They got renamed after the event.

I've found myself there a number of times and my surname is not common. It's also spelled wrong but hey, it's a claim to fame I guess.

I thought that one vendor in Neutropolis would be obscure and hidden enough that he might be able to be in the Keyes trail.. which was not the case.

On the grounds that my surname is very distinctive (as is Zortel's) I must decline to post a pic of my name appearing there. However, I have personally confirmed sight of surnames for myself, Zortel, Floating Fat Man, Plasmarch, Rockjaw, and a few others I can't think of right now.

However, since it will not directly link to me, here's a little riddle for anyone who can be bothered to go and trawl around to find it (just respect my wishes and don't post my surname anywhere, please): He took a little stroll and got in trouble for being tardy. What did he do?

(Oh, and the last time I went looking, it took me ten minutes to find my name, so this is by no means a freebie.)

Could the vendors be referencing some x-y-z coordinates somehow? Like, telling you where to go to find some hidden room or something?

That's what I was thinking - but there's no clue as to which zone we should use them in

Well, I was thinking that they'd be the zone that the vendor is in.

Thanks to Thirty-Seven for looking into getting these:

All of the numbers are:

Nova: 56-925, 73-783, 87-878
UG Nova: 878-84
Imperial: 25-378, 53-276, 62-397
UG Imp.: 844-45
Neutropolis: 36-287, 48-273, 73-223
UG Neu.: 583-43, 782-63

Removing the UG ones, that leaves use with three vendors in each zone, each one containing 5 digits. Now, it could just be the last three digits, or maybe it's something like 925-56 = 869 for the first one. Not sure.

Indeed, this is the reason I haven't linked my one.

Me, i have no real problems posting up the picture of "me" in Firebase Zulu, it also isnt the 1st game I had an NPC named after me.

Bridger I found *once*, other red names that i remember seeing are Kerensky, Ghostraptor, Aero (all with their real name surnames)... they were *not* in the Shadowshard before the Omega Sektor player meet though.

She keeps saying "no one has found it." There is no one.

But I doubt it.

All of the numbers are:
  • Nova: 56-925, 73-783, 87-878

A simple 'A=1, B=2' type code doesn't seem to yield anything useful... but I didn't do all of them, maybe they all add up to some long super-anagram as the studio is famous for doing. But if that is the case, what kinda message doesn't have a single 'A' in it anywhere?
Add "Tailor 4-5264" in UG resistance base.

It may have nothing to do with this, but those vendors periodically listen to a voice that's difficult for me to hear clearly. I'm a bit curious about that.

'I don't like the look of it at all,' said the King: 'however, it may kiss my hand if it likes.'
'I'd rather not,' the Cat remarked.
'Don't be impertinent,' said the King, 'and don't look at me like that!' He got behind Alice as he spoke.
'A cat may look at a king,' said Alice.
