I missed the memo: Since when is any one particular console game any type of worry that CoH has to steal its release date thunder?

It's like saying McDonalds is releasing the McRib Sandwich on a particular date because that's when a certain movie is being released.

Heck, you can be sure all the Devs will be playing it. Then, 30 hours later, everyone comes back to CoH.

Fixed for better relevance. While MMOs and console games are certainly different beasts, they aren't as far different as a sandwich and a movie are.

It's a PC game, too. That must've been in the memo you missed.

For my part, I'm not playing it immediately because I played the demo and lost what vestiges of interest I had in the series. I may rent it some day or grab it from a bargain bin just to finish the story. Maybe.

I can honestly say I have never heard any phrase along the lines of "Oh man, X game is coming out, but my MMO is releasing a big update the SAME DAY, HOW WILL I CHOOSE?" Nowhere among any of my friends have ever been swayed one way or the other. They get their new game and download their new update. I don't really think it's an 'either or' choice for too many people.

Then that leaves no room to argue about it and you know people here have to have something to argue over.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Im a very hungry man and its not even lunch yet!

Edit: I doubt it'll take the full 8 hours anyway, how long do these usually take? 5 - 6 hours? I like the over cautious this time, means we cant go all its 2 minutes past the 5 hour said downtime!
