Webcomic Explains Mass Effect

Now, I'm not sure if this is appropriate since it's another game. But it's a webcomic, so that makes it OK. Right?

Mass Effect 3 is coming out soon, so a Japanese gaming site and a artist made a webcomic to explain the series. I've only played a small snippet of the first game, but I know enough to really enjoy this.

"Teach me! Professor Mordin!" (translated and is read right-to-left)

Let the indoctrination begin (you should really playthrough ME 1&2)! Being a husk really isn't all that bad.

Anyways 8 more days and my Ugly Shep is going to put the smackdown on the reapers!!!!

I've played both Mass Effect games to completion and I'm still confused.

I didn't know Tali'Zorah nar Rayya had such a fixation on eating cakes and pastries. Still playing through ME2 myself here. I'm so out of sync.

Now... is there a video game that explains this webcomic?

j/k, I thought it was kind of funny although I got bored and stopped reading before they got to the point of actually trying to explain the game.

Amusing, but I prefer the recent VG Cats Mass Effect comic, which more accurately describes what the game is about. However, I probably shouldn't link it due to content.

How many folks are going go with the PC version ---> I mention this because I'll be happy to help with the multiplayer missions.

Did MEs 1 and 2 on Xbox, so to I'll be sticking with it for all of my saved game data. Plus, I think Mass Effect would make my computer have a nervous breakdown.

Goodbye, I guess.

I have ME and ME2 on Steam, and I'm not really going to bother with ME3 unless I can add it to my collection there.

Thankfully, I'm a patient guy!

I did the first two on the 360, and after playing the demo for the third game I think I'll rent it and maybe not even immediately.

360 here.
Also, I think EA have really upset people with Origins and it's spyware junk. You know it's quite bad when the German government says you are basically illegal.

Just gonna pass. Wasn't really thrilled with ME1 and what I saw of ME2 didn't really "do it" for me either. On top of that, the malware DRM crap? YeahNO!

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

Comic wins just for having a Krogan jump out from behind a lamp post and yell "OI!" at a couple of schoolgirls.

Story Arcs I created:

Every Rose: (#17702) Villainous vs Legacy Chain. Forget Arachnos, join the CoT!

Cosplay Madness!: (#3643) Neutral vs Custom Foes. Heroes at a pop culture convention!

Kiss Hello Goodbye: (#156389) Heroic vs Custom Foes. Film Noir/Hardboiled detective adventure!

All the comic really 'explains' is that mass effect has real choices that can affect the outcome of the current game and subsequent games. The rest is just cuteness and a really shallow plot synopsis.

I think they've been saying in the promo-hype for ME3 that all of the decisions through the first two games represent around 1,000 variables for the final game. Part of the reason I'm so looking forward to ME3 (aside from being a fan of the series and wanting to see how it wraps up) is that I want to see how some of the decisions from ME1 play out.

Goodbye, I guess.

Comic was confusing, much more than the games, which aren't confusing!

Currently replaying ME2 (for like the 8th time) just to have a fresh save for ME3!

Just finished replaying ME1 on PC and just started on ME2. I decided to replay through all of them just because I played the first game on 360 and the second on PC, so I never got to import a save file. I figured I would get Maxwell Shepard all squared away for when ME3 hits.
