For 10 billion inf, this could be yours!

That's right, you can own a Level 1 Nucleolus Exposure! All for the low, bargain basement price of 10 billion inf!

Now, you may be asking "Why would I want a level 1 Nucleolus Exposure?" Good question! I guess you'd have to be a pretty serious collector, much like base salvage collectors, to want it. Maybe you want your level 1, that's still in Destroyed Galaxy City, to deliver some monsterous damage to the Shivans?

There are literally billions of reasons to want this rare Hamidon Origin enhancement! Actually, there are 10 billion reasons!

So act now and have some serious bragging rights by owning this once in a lifetime item!

-----------------

In all seriousness, have you ever gone into a base that you built like 7 years ago that you haven't been in for a few years? Well, that's what I did. I hit the motherload in this base. Tons of Nucleolus and Microfilaments. Then I found this level 1 bad boy that I completely forgot about. I never had any plans to use it and always wanted to hang onto it, but if someone can get use out of it, then I'd consider selling it. But if you really want to offer the 10 billion inf for it, it's first come first served

I might pay 10 inf for that... not 10 billion, though XD

Because it's an anomaly in the game. There probably aren't more than a couple of them extant.

Why's a Spider-Man #1 so valuable? Not because it's a Spider-Man comic. But because they're fairly rare nowadays.

Interesting. Quite the collector's item. I don't know if anybody will care enough to drop 10 billion on it, but if that is the case, you hardly will need any of us to tell you, the non-sale will say it quite clearly.

I mean no sarcasm when I say, good luck finding a buyer

Comparing a piece of history with a Hami'O isn't the best comparison, at all.

The comic can be read, is the start of a great legacy.
The Hami'O? Can be used by a few levels and that's it. It isn't the start of the Hami'O legacy, it isn't the 1st ever Hami'O to be made.

You're missing the point. It's like this episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Most_Toys

Fajo wants the most exotic, strangest, and/or completely unique items he can collect. Data, being the only sentient, autonomous, and legally 'himself' known android (besides, possibly, Lore... not remembering the sequence on that...) he wants him.

So he gets him.

For no other reason as to the reason someone climbs Mount Everest... or builds a Brawl only Brute and attempts to level it to 50 doing nothing but street sweeping. (Can't for the life of me figure out who'd be silly enough to do that... >.>)

Because it's there. And, in some cases, you can't have it, or very very few can.

This is one of those items.

/I want it. Badly. But I ain't got enough in all my toons to get it at 10B

...and he's selling this item for far less than a Spider-Man #1 would fetch, which is consistent with its far lesser value as a collectible.

Whether you personally place value on it does not matter at all, because there really are people out there who collect such things. I don't know how many of them there are, or how much they care about this item specifically, or how much they'd be willing to spend on it, but they definitely exist.
Maybe his asking price is too high, it's hard to say except by just seeing if the item does or doesn't sell. There is hardly a stable market for this item, after all. But he is well within his rights, and entirely reasonable, to sell it, and ask for any price he thinks is fair for it. Either it will sell, or it won't, and your ridicule or disdain on the topic are unimportant.

* <-- See this? That's the point.

{Zooms out to the edge of the known universe}

And this is how badly you've missed it.

The basic point is that, due to it's almost (if not truly) unique nature, it can be viewed as collectible, and of a value that far exceeds it's that of basic utilitarian worth.

I am only a few pieces away from a full collection of all base salvage (20 of each with only fa'laks and a few others at less than 20). I must have 5-6B tied up in bids to get the last few pieces. Even so I won't pay 10B for a level 1 HO

I'll be watching this with interest. I have a level 50 TO I've been thinking of selling.

I'm sure there are people who would love to have it, and people who have enough billions that spending 10 billion on something with near zero utility isn't a big deal.

The question is: do those groups overlap at all?

I actually laughed at that, out loud too.

I didn't miss any point, at all.
I have my opinion, you have yours, and neither is right or wrong.
And i stand by my opinion by stating the two are as comparable as Paris Hilton and Mother Theresa.

Is it special? sure.
One of a kind? no.
Is it a collectable? Only if you can get all Hami'O's in all levels, otherwise it's just a discussion topic, a 'show and tell' item.
Worth forking 10Bill for, not to me.

But hey, if someone wants to, imo, waste their Inf on it, be my guest.
I rather spend my Inf on something useful.

Your response indicates otherwise.

Whether it's one of a kind is irrelevant. Expensive rare comics aren't always unique examples either. It's a fairly anomalous piece of kit in-game.

I disagree. Again, with the comic book example. You don't have to get all issues of Spider-Man between 1 and whatever the current issue is just to display how COMPLETE one's collection is.

This here is likely the root of your stubbornness on this issue.
You imagine someone is pushing this on you.
Not so. If it's not worth that, or any inf to you, no big deal. Nobody's forcing you to pay for it.

Seems like you missed the point of my reply.. it wasn't talking about the comparison to comics, it was a direct reply about your reply to me.
But that is what you get if you only look at certain things and not the whole reply, there is a chance to take it out of context, which you did.

Anyways, i'm out of this thread since i do not find it interesting enough to start a whole big argument.

Good luck with your sale, i hope you'll find someone who is willing to buy this item for, or close to what you want for it.
It's an interesting item that's for sure, but not interesting enough for me to spend that much on it.

imo this enhancement is definitely worth a lot of inf. According to legend (or the word of the seller) I have two out of the only three level 53 Nucleolos Exposures in the game slotted on my main.I paid him 2.5 billion each for them- Based on those transactions, I'd value the level 1 Nucleo around 1.5 Billion, since unlike the level 53's which serve as collector's items and fantastic enhancements, the level 1 only serves the former purpose and not the latter.

I have two myself, slotted in blind on an ill/kin I never play, so that's not quite true.

Well, the problem here is that you have a group of people: those who would want this as a collectors item. I would think this is a rather small group. Then you have another group: people with 10 billion inf to spend frivolously. Again, I would think this is a very small group.

The OP needs to find people in the tiny subset where the two groups overlap. I'm sure there are some out there. If we could buy a badge for 10 billion inf, I would have it. Or 50 billion, or 100. That would be important enough to me. So I figure there's someone out there who would love to have this HO.

Bah, well how long have they been on your build, and did they ever circulate? It's really impossible to tell if you count people who just got them, kept them, and slotted them.

Heck I stopped collecting things in game on MMO a long time ago and even I am somewhat interested in this toy. Its like yearning for the days of old faultline in year one when you didnt have vertical travel powers in your build. Had a friend with SS lost down there for 3 days once

Id not do 10 bil, maybe 1 and I mean maybe.
