  1. Yat,

I think you know I have a wide variety of toons who could be useful to you. I was on our very first successful run on Freedom and again and again (including the run for Turg).

I will bring any toon you want or need for this.

In case you've forgotten I have:

Ice/Kin Cor 50+3 still slotted from our last run so I assume compliant

Bane 50+3 with stacked leadership and built for max toxic damage and -res

Sonic/Rad Cor 50+3 with all leadership powers

And many more toons who could be useful.

My wife would be happy to bring a toon as well I'm sure (and she was in on plenty of successful runs with her Kin Cor) so save 2 spots for us.

I want to make sure Snow Globe gets the badge.

For anyone who thinks Yat is being obnoxious, well sometimes on freedom to get things done you have to be obnoxious. Of course that won't we a problem in like 6 weeks, right?
  2. My wife and I have moved to The Secret World as well. I know of at least 10-12 others who have made the same move. If you want to play a mix of X-Files, CoH, and an extra dose of zombies then come on down. Honestly the game is fun, original, and kind of buggy at the moment but its well worth playing.
  3. If I can get motivated to take the 4 hours to do it I'm going to burn 225B on Freedom and move from #12 to #6. I hail anyone else willing to make such silly gestures as I've not been motivated enough so far.

If I was REALLY motivated I'd liquidate my IO stock for whatever it'd get me at a listing of 1 and have another 300B-1.5T (depending on the lowball bids).
  4. Good luck gentlemen. I salute your burning fest and almost wish I had the energy to have one of my own. But, alas it would take hours to assemble my 250B and liquidate my IOs so I'm just letting it go down with the ship.
  5. I leave with only about 200B liquid. However, I have somewhere in the range of a trillion in IOs in bases across all servers (I made a hero and vil base on every server....I know....wth). Ah well good times gone soon enough.
  6. I imagine the devs have been laid off at this point so we may never know their plans.

I have a dark/sonic corruptor I made to help a friend get MoITF badge. The synergies are awesomely awesome. The only other one I've ever seen was someone who copied mine. And she's lifetime 24/25 on getting MoITF with people. The one fail had a griefer who got killed to mess things up since I said I had a perfect record.

As far as least played combos go I'd have to say an ice armor / stone melee tanker is probably darn near unique. I very rarely see either set anymore let alone both on the same toon. I have no idea how they'd play together though.

As always, this game to me boils down to 'play what the hell you want to'
I think the rad/kin corruptor will provide more debuffs in a under-min-maxed setting than a kin/sonic defender.

The ability to actually get -40 res from achilles heel and fury of the gladiator procs outweighs all the -res you'll get from sonic because thats all reduced 80% while the procs as self-applied powers will be +9 like tyrant and thus not reduced. If you doubt how this works, don't. I've looked at the numbers on my bane to learn it and only retroactively figured out why they were a full -20 res while rad and poison debuffs were reduced to numbers like 5% and 6%. Having those 2 procs constantly applied (so we want more than one person with them slotted but more than 4 is overkill probably) increases the chance of killing Tyrant about the same as adding 6 rad/xxx defenders debuffs to the team and does it without adding bodies which increases his max_hp and thus regen rate.

If I'm convinced that people are at least trying, I'll likely be starting them on a weekly basis again.

Even beyond that, I suspect that I -will- have to wait for new incarnate slots to show up for the remaining magi badges. What I'm really hoping (stubbornly) for is that I can somehow get the people on my server to act like a team and not as a collection of people running amok.

What I really hope for is cross-server incarnate trials so that nobody would have to be dependent on just one server's population to run this content.
Can't guarantee the 2nd since I'm running for state legislature and have an event that day. But, I can tell you I will be making my corruptor and helping you ASAP. I'll even see if I can get some of the other Freedom hardcore folks to join me in helping you.

And if you're going Sonic Blast/ Kinetics for a pairing, then go for a Kinetics/Sonic Defender, for the stronger -resist attached to the defender's blasts.

All that said though, I personally find that if I'm playing my Kinetics Defender on a trial then I don't really have too much time to blast, as I'm too busy making sure that SB is up to date, ID is applied too, Fulcrum's being used whenever it's recharged, and that I'm hitting Transference and Transfusion regularly too... All that and dodging various patches o' doom means blasting time is limited...

Just my 0.02inf and YMMV, of course

Specifically for killing Tyrant without the lights the corruptor is better because even with an ultimate popped you're -5 to Tyrant. Therefore those -res affects are going to be reduced 80% making the difference between the cor and def on -res negligable. However, the scourge affect once he's low and gets actually hard to kill will far outweigh the benefit of the extra -res.

To be honest I should make sure I get something with a PBAoE so I can slot a Fury of Gladiator proc (-20% res) and something with -def so I can slot an Achilles Heel proc (-20 res) since as self-powers they are actually at their full number. So I guess it'll be rad/kin cor then. Strangely its rad for the -res since the -def won't make much difference with his DDR.

At least you made me think it out

I'm going to get a XXX/kin corruptor levelled up on Freedom to transfer to help you get the badges SnowGlobe. What kind do you think would help the most? If I'm getting more than one what are you lacking on Triumph that we can bring over?

You've done enough for the badging community I think the least I can do is get a toon PL'ed and to +3 to help you get these badges. And yes I have them all on Freedom as I was in with Yat Man and am the person who first posted that it would take tons of corruptors to do TRHW because of scourge (I only knew because I've actually honestly levelled 4 corruptors to 50).
  13. Hey Yat -- make sure to put Votress in for the TRHW too.

    She's a Staff/Invuln Scrapper.

But, she can make whatever lore, destiny, etc you like and is build to do killer damage and have the debuffs from procs (achilles, etc).

I know this because I built her myself.

My wife put her dues in helping everyone else like Turg get TRHW on their mains she should get a shot too.
  14. O.K. Yat Man -- signing up for my wife and myself

I will bring my 50+3 Ice/Kin Corruptor Skadi Victoria

She has all the leadership powers, polar lights lore, etc.

I ran her on our first successful TRHW run ever on Freedom.

My wife will be on Votress her 50+3 Staff/Inv Scrapper

She has a wide variety of lore pets to choose from.

She did 2-3 runs of TRHW helping others on her kin months ago when they were common and missed getting the badges on her main then so she wants to do that now.

If I can fit it in I'll bring my main on a few of the other runs if they still have spaces when you're running them.
  15. I'll pay a lot for a carnie ring mistress costume code. I'll throw out 2B as a starter if anyone has one unused.

I'm more than happy to buy rare base salvages too until I get 20 of each of them. Depending on the salvage piece I'll pay 50-200M per piece for them and more if in bulk. For example if you have 19 fa'lak amulets I'll give you 10B for the trouble you're saving me since I've only gotten 1 in the last 2 years.

I'd also like a pony for my kid....oh wait that would probably violate forum rules on RL objects so nevermind.

    Am I poor now?

You have more than enough inf to have 20B by the end of the week if you want. Invest wisely and you can make a ton of inf quick. I won't give out my niches but some of the old stuff still nets 300-500M per toon log-in (which total turn-around on is less than 5 mins even including the 30 second log-out timer). So get a few good niches and you can make more than a billion most days for 15 mins work. If you got to 2B you probably still know what to do. If not send a message to @Ferrum-ignis and I'll walk you though what I do if not where I do it.

And like everyone has said prices have actually dropped in the last 6 mos or so on high-end stuff
  17. I'll bring whatever toon you'd like though I submit that one of the following is probably best:

Skadi Victoria -- ice/kin cor (was at the 1st TRHW run)

    or

Hochtrabane -- bane designed for maximum -res

I also have a sonic cor, rad cor, or a ton of other options so just let me know what is best for the team and I'll be there on that toon.

I'm sure Gorgiana would like to bring a toon as well so save 2 spots for us.
  18. I'd like a spot as well. My main is SS/WP Brute but I will also do a run with my Ice/Kin Cor.
  19. Count me in:

Main Badger Eris Enyalios (SS/WP Brute)

I have the following +3 alts available as required:

    Skadi Victoria (Ice/Kin Cor)
    Aeval Morrigan (Dark/Sonic Cor)
    Erinyes Enyalios (Sonic/Rad Cor)
Hoctrabane (Bane with all debuffs....on a single target can exceed a rad for -res)
    Dread Wizard Dvoc (Fire/Dark Blaster)
    Witwespinne (Fortunata)

I have other +3 alts as well but these seemed the most useful.

My wife @gorgiana o'gryss would also like to attend. She has multiple +3 toons available as well including:

    Votress Staff/Inv Scrapper
    Sea Change Ill/Rad Controller
  20. Gorgiana and I will be there as well.
  21. I can confirm that all these items exist in game. I have more than one of all of them but until I have 20 of each I'm not selling any of them. There may not in fact be 20 of many of these items on active accounts so my quest is probably in vain.
  22. I can assure you the market isn't completely empty of these as I am still selling off the stock of IOs I made right after Going Rogue lauched (last time ever everyone played 10-20 all at the same time). I'll log to my guy on Infinity who still has hundreds of these things and make sure to list a pile if none are out there. They're not usually going for more than 30-40M per IO anymore so thats not so bad and I don't try and drive the price back up to 80-100M they went for a couple issues ago.

Alternately if you can't find one just send a global message to @ferrum-ignis and I'll get you one once I log in.
  23. Let see....I've played on quite a few over the years so I can give my opinions in an educated fashion:

Freedom -- Easiest to find groups, especially on redside. A certain portion of the playerbase on Freedom is made up of jerks. Another portion is made up of people who just want to do everything at max efficiency. Right when new issues come out Freedom is packed.....it tails down when there hasn't been new content in a while but still pretty crowded (during these drops Virtue will pass Freedom in people)

Virtue -- Pretty easy to find groups, but not on redside. A certain portion of the playerbase is made up of hardcore RPers. You can easily avoid them but occasionally you'll log in somewhere like the crafting building in Port Oakes and have an embarassing moment where you drop on someone ERP (literally in my case). People tend to be less hardcore on Virtue and friendlier but a little less knowledgable about the ins-and-outs than on Freedom. Most players don't go for max efficiency so you'll find a wider array of things run than on freedom. I find it to be a pleasant and relaxed server as long as you avoid pocket d as a scantily clad girl.

Infinity -- Used to have an amazing core of players but many of them migrated to Freedom about 6 issues ago. Still a pretty solid server and even has a still alive redside. Its kind of a mix of Freedom and Virtue culturewise. Less jerks than Freedom -- no real hardcore RP. Had some really cool stuff like the Taxibots and such back in the day but I never see them anymore when I do log.

Justice -- I never see anyone Justice redside so I assume it is dead (I could be wrong this is my 4th server so I don't exactly log there everyday). That said Justice has a core of really solid players who try their best to help people out. Its quite a bit less populated than Freedom/Virtue but still enough people to do what you want most of the time.

Champion -- Similar to Justice except it has an alive redside. Champion used to be the server the devs played on but I haven't seen them in about 5-6 issues. Champion also has some issues with cliquishness occasionally.

Exalted -- OMG, how can the VIP server have such a terrible culture? Oh right, its the people who left all the other servers and want to impose that server's culture on the VIP place. Imagine stirring the malcontents of all the other servers together with some new people who figure they'll give it a shot. Oh and don't forget to mix in cliquishness and some good Freedom AND Virtue bashing for good measure. I've had some good experiences on Exalted. But, most of the time I wonder why I logged into the server as someone does something shockingly idiotic (grief an ITF because we didn't do it "the right way" -- grief a BAF for same reason, etc).

Guardian -- Guardian has a core of very dedicated players who really know what they're doing. Its peak time doesn't match mine but I've heard Guardian can be up with Champion/Infinity/Justice at certain times of the day. I've never really had a bad experience there other than lack of groups cause I was on at the wrong time.

The other servers I've played on too long ago or too sparsely to give a good judgement on that would actually be useful.

For example, I needed some Call to Arms recipes for one of my characters. I discovered the L30 call to arms recipes were selling for a fortune, but the recipes seemed to be dirt cheap. So instead of buying one set, I put in hundreds of millions in bids on the ones that had big margins. Over the course of months, those filled in and I made a billion or two flipping them. As I added supply, it appeared someone (perhaps the original seller) tried to combat me, so I kept going lower. I'd be fine with a one-off sale or two, but as long as I saw 2-3 in the last 5 lower than my list, I'd move lower.

The raw margins were huge. Like 90%+ in pure profit. Once all the ones I bought ran out, I think the margins shrank to about 1/3 of what they were before. I no longer wanted to bother flipping them, so I haven't bought up more.

Now I doubt that's quite like your case, because I started off only undercutting by a little, but I did keep moving down as needed. But if it's similar to me, then I'd get bored and go away eventually. I generally only liked dealing with either purples or things with a huge volume (certain uncommon recipes).

So it comes down to: what are they doing? If they're willing to do the same work in your niche for less permanently, then you have to undercut, drive them off, so they lose interest and you can raise prices.

I glanced back at call to arms - and case in point, there's a 90% margin available right now on most of the call to arms recipes, or higher. L30 defense aura is recipes 2.5-5m, crafted 50m. acc/dmg/rech, 5m=>50m. So it seems to have recovered.
I will vouch that this niche is heavily mine and has been since before the market merger. Its a low liquidity niche (not too many IOs sell per day) but one with high margins on the low liquidity. I patiently undersell and wait people out on niches like this.

On a high liquidity niche (Oblitam for example) I'll fight like a demon to make the other person go away. I won't give all my secrets but basic strategy is to make sure when they list too low you're the buyer in more volume than they have and always buy recipes a little higher than them so you're checking the recipe price at least once a day.
