Between badges and the purchaseable additional market slots in the Paragon Market, the max possible is currently 57.

To answer your question, Dr. Roboto, there are several places to "stash" your cash.

  1. As you saw in one of the posts above, you bid an amount on an IO that simply doesn't exist. As shown, a level 53 LotG 7.5% global recharge IO - it doesn't exist in game, so it's a "safe" place to hold your inf. Keep in mind, if you are going to be leaving the game or are uninclined to keep abreast of what's coming in the next issue, you could lose all that inf. They may come out with level 53 LotG 7.5% global recharge IOs, and then you'll have as many as you bid on, assuming your bid met or exceeded the seller's asking price.
  2. In game e-mail. A lot of folks are cautious about this, because they fear that when new issues get published, strange things can happen. They are correct. Anything can happen. However, typically, a support ticket will fix whatever happened.
  3. Let your alts work for you. All my characters over level 10 (except those on exalted in case I ever drop my sub) carry 1.5 billion. If I exhaust my 500 million inf e-mails by respec-ing or giving it away, I can just have one of my less often played toons e-mail more.
  4. Lastly, you can just ask your in-game friends to hold it for you. I'm sure they'll give it back when you need it, lol.
As for me, I made the 100 Billion club last week. But, because of the way I distribute my inf across all my characters, it's a mite cumbersome to prove it.

The other option is to "store" it in enhancements. I have a solo SG base and I convert a lot of my excess inf into expensive enhancements (purple sets, global IOs, hamidon enhancements etc.). I don't have to worry about the inf and it saves time when I make a new character since I only need to buy the cheaper enhancements.

How long did it take to reach 100bn? And did you just earn and not spend anything?

I never ever let that much build up. And I spend a lot of time giving free farms, purples, and pvp ios away.

I bet in the last month alone i gave away 10 billion. The average is probably 5 bill a month i just throw to friends and even strangers.

Its so easy to make influ in this game. And once you dont need any more it seems so much easier to make. The first billion was very hard, the 10th meh, and the last 80 or so billion i dont think i actually did anything except throw up bids and wait then sell and wait.

Nice pic though. How long did it take to email all that lol.

100 billion is more or less my savings account. When my marketing toons hit the influence cap i email it. I either spend it, put it in "savings" or give it away in multiple ways.

I often give away 500 mill for kill shots of AVs in TFs and such. I pay for people to form TFs for me and to help for badges. I IO out builds for friends.

I play 2 accounts 1 with over 70 Marketers the other with 30ish. I earn about a billion a day on average. I log every marketer in twice a week usually.

I stay away from most things that have high volume/more competition. Im all about volume and having every wentworths slot put to use.

that will do it.

i am always amazed that when i log in a marketer toon everything or almost everything is sold. Or even more amazed when i bid on a stack of recipies for cheap they all fill in 2 days.

Unless its something like ancestral weapon that 5 sold in the last 2 or 3 years.

Wait, do you actually play? Or just market? Also, I could use some money....

When I returned to the game prior to issue 18, having left before issue 6, I had a total of 23 million across all of my characters. I was fuzzy on all the IO bit and probably spent more time on the forums reading to catch up than playing. Having a fire/fire tank at 50 already was a big help. However, I didn't notice inf as being a thing to try to accumulate until I reached my first billion. At that time, I was only playing my main toon in pursuit of badges. After a few purple drops that I sold (on a soft purple market - apocs were going for 220 million at the time) I had made my first billion and felt rich.

And then, I respec'd out of fitness because it was now inherent, and then realized that my billion was worth a lot less than 23 million was back in issue 6. The notion of using SOs was and is simply laughable. Give up 9% increase in effectiveness? I'm already paying for the use of IOs, may as well get the bang for the bucks. So, I made it a point to farm my Dreck's map (888 bad guys on it if I recall Hero Stats info correctly). I'd do a run in the morning when it was slow, and late at night when it was slow. I'd usually get a purple a day. Sometimes I went a few days with none, and once I got three in the same day.
Then, the SSAs came out. That's when I learned about random rolls. That helped a bunch. Then, when I read about enhancement converters - that effectively doubled my inf from 40 billion to about 80 billion. At that time, I stopped pursuing inf and focused more on iTrials and getting my characters to tier 4. But, my new habit of using converters on cheap pvp ios to better ones was too easy to drop altogether. Now, all my characters level 10 or higher have 1.5 bill and 20 e-mails with 500 mill each. I'll likely have to start stashing inf in the /ah if I decide to keep accumulating. But, I have three toons to respec and that will make a huge dent. So, from 23 million to 100 billion took me about 2 years.

The question is how much time do you spend on those marketers? Not that it matters much as that's what is fun for you, but still interesting.

Assume 10 seconds for the loading screen, and 20 seconds to actually do your marketing. What is it, 30 seconds you have to wait when logging out each character? That's one minute per character, 100 characters, twice a week. That's 200 minutes, or 3 hours and 20 minutes. You know what, forget about the 20 seconds of marketing. Just the time you spend logging in and out of the game is more time than I spend playing in a week. I'm not sure which I'm more jealous of: your bankroll, your free time, or your ability to stare at loading screens long enough to make my head explode.

Since i have 2 accounts and 2 monitors, i do not have to wait for load times. When i log off on one toon I am already marketing and logging into the other toon. I also market on one account as i am waiting for trials to form on the other account.

However, when i was running one account i did figure out a way to log in and out quicker. Spawn an oroborous portal, click menu, click quit to character select, then when the counter starts counting down, click the oroborous portal, when it says lost connection to mapserver click menu, quit to character selection. Voila you are now logged out in 5 seconds instead of 30 seconds.

I....

I am in awe.

I made my 100 with a bullet-headed pvp farm, I only market for funsies.

I like to think of myself as a primary supplier, rather than a middleman.
