Can i join the club?

Ehn, I thought about going for the trillionaire club, but I'd hafta start flippin' purples to roll up that kinda cash in a decent time.

And flippin' purples....isn't my fun.

Maybe I'll fire up the old farm again soon, start on my second centi-billion.

See, if I was half-smart, I'd convert all those pvp io's rather than sell 'em raw.

Does it need to be in liquid inf or are loose IOs acceptable as cash equivalents ?

Yeah this...I don't think I've ever had more than 20 billion cash, but I have bins full of purples, Hamis, pricy IOs etc. My inf is always working for me. At the moment I consider myself "Working Poor" liquid inf wise, but "Comfortably Off" with the stored stuff.

Did you do a post for this? Do you need like 20x characters with 50x 1B bids or such? I'm pretty sure even after burning ~110B or so on the 88s, I think I could still scrounge up 350-400B already if I went on a liquidation spree. Might be worth trying to join this club. (And I bet TopDoc could join if he were at all inclined... at one point he had >200B just in pvp recipes stocked up.)

Color me jealous. I just started to try to make real influence, and was doing ok converting cheap purples, but that has stopped since double xp weekend. I do ok with ATIOs, but not burn 110B ok lol. I'm waiting for the day the secret dawns on me and I can play with the high rollers.

And yet I'm poor compared to MeanNVicious, who outspent the collective deep pockets of the 88s in an infl race... and is still a trillionaire, apparently. Which was a classic thread, since so much bravado across the Internet is just that, so seeing someone back it up is priceless.

Inf level defined as 'real influence' varies depending on how much you've got, IME.

I used to consider the 16M I had on my main a lot at one point (Issue 3/4).

Then my first toon got to 100M, that was a lot.

Then I inf capped my main. That was a lot.

Nowadays, I've got all my alts capped and 23Bn stored, and I don't think about it. I can afford anything and find I don't actually want anything. (This drives some people up the wall, I've got Billions of inf, and most of my toons run around on SO's <grin>)

Chasing inf for the sake of having inf is a game some people play, some others chase it for builds, and some just acquire it as a habit nowadays (that's me). Don't get stressed about not having as much inf as the next person, it'll come with time, patience and playing the game.

Fair opinion. I wouldn't say it's a stress to me as I have fun trying to get it. Right now my goal is to get enough for a Crab Spider project I'm going to work on in I24. The goal is to have the absolute best IO's I can for the build I want (final build still pending as I need the new Mids for IO changes/additions). Considering purples, glad +3%, new sets, and new ATIOs, I'm guessing quite a few billion; especially considering I want some sets while leveling. I've managed to save up around 3B at this point, so I may be in good pace to make the goal a reality (unless I24 hits in a couple weeks lol).

Either way it'll be fun to see if I can meet the challenge I've set for myself.

Maybe not. I have about 600B in purples (2.5k slotted and stored), and 150B in liquid Inf. I've got a bin full of the big 3 PvPs at level 50, another partially full with the same at level 15, an unknown number of both types already slotted, lots of Panacea sets slotted, and random extra PvPs sitting around. And I've got probably 2k ATOs though at least 1k are cheap ones I have yet to convert. I may not quite have a trillion total net worth, but if not then I'm certainly close. It'll be many months before I finish my current project (a level 50 of every powerset), respec my chars to use new IOs (I'll have about 100 level 50 chars when I'm done), record everything, and add it all up.

The record keeping is the real pain.

Ha thanks. Yea at first I wasnt going to burn it, but I realized I could market more over time. I will say converting that much into prestige took FOREVER !!! LoL.

That being said after all this time later my liquid worth is actually close to 1.5 trillion. Again thats liquid not including IO's and whats slotted on toons.

I have a couple bases loaded with IO's for building anything at any time. All pvp, procs, purples, rares, and a tidy pile of 52-53 HO's. Nothing else in base if the cost vs storage wasnt worth it, lol. Then you include whats on my toons and my total worth is pretty astronomical on top of the liquid.

Sadly with the recent news its almost heart breaking knowing it will all "poof" in not too long.

But it was a hell of a run, and I think I can take the title 'top dog' down with me, rofl.

Too bad they didnt allow me to throw everything into a pot and put my name on city hall or something LoL.

Hats off to you. I'm exiting with roughly 500 billion liquid and as of yesterdays pricing 600 billion in various IOs.

The market was the best part of the game for me, I am going to miss it.
