A reasonable response to a reasonable request to shorten the duration of. Tyvm for the info Z.

Neither did I. Superhero stories are FILLED with tales that go on for two, three, more issues of a character having some limitation or another. I recently reread an Action Comics/Superman storyline from the 70's where Superman was split in half between Earth and a dimension of magic, where he only had about half his powers in each body. This storyline went on for over *six months*. Back then, with more episodic stories, that was practically an event.

So no, Brad, it wasn't that bad. In fact I think occasional reminders (remember this is a HOLIDAY EVENT, folks, not a regular addition to the game) of how we could be long-term inconvenienced are sort of fun. I know that not everyone shares that, but c'mon...what's the challenge if Batman ALWAYS has his utility belt at hand?

Yeppers it would make a ton of sense to have a meeting to reduce the duration from 20 hours to 19 1/2. Brilliant.

I've only run the Red Widow arc twice, but it seemed to me that if you read the responses carefully it's difficult to screw it up.

Kind of like how people always mess up the saying to give to the Latin student in the midnighter's arc. Yup...it happens.

Say what?

You can't be talking about that tiny -tohit debuff from The Fool, can you?

I was skimming this thread (to see if they fixed the lvl 40 Carnies bug) and must have been reading a little TOO quickly.
I was positive you said "We are not playing Monty Python's Let's Make a Deal."

Too bad. THAT would have been an interesting gameshow.

I don't think I've ever seen more straw men in one thread. Some of you really should know better.

It appears the devs will be improving the mission next year. All is good.

o.O

Seriously, what?

This isn't a comic book. We aren't reading a story. We're playing a game with its own mechanics. Stories we read and games we play are not the same thing, short of something like "choose your own path" books.

I don't have much stake in this overall discussion/argument, but that justification of a long-lasting debuff is totally bizarre to me.

On topic: I read the descriptions and got it right the first time. I never suffered the debuff. I still think 20 hours was a bad idea.

On a similar note, we have ordered a tactical strike on the developer who's idea it was.

No, not really.
I just wanted to bump this as a reminder to reduce the penalty for the Valentine's event coming up in February.

Hopefully having a 20 hour debuff didn't chase too many players away and damage the game somehow. Oh well, even if the constant stream of stupid decisions like this, and the dev's refusal to do things like hotfix major issues did somehow damage the game, I'm sure it won't be anything too bad. And if the game does come to some harm, we can all just band together and blame NCSoft instead of pointing out that the constant bad design decisions and inflexibility were the real reasons this game tanked.

CoH forever!!!11!1!!1!

Sometimes you can feel a little down, but then you see some dude who's kept on with an online video game about dressing up in spandex he disliked for eight years and has so little going on his life he spends time digging up old forum threads to post "I told you so" rants, and then you realise how awesome your life is compared to that dude, and unlike if you watched, say, poor kids starving or something, you don't even feel bad about this because he's kind of a dick.

So, thanks for being you, Judas_Ace. Sincerely.
