Thanks Mr Captain Man, I'll take "it's mental" as short for "mental capacity". Perhaps potential to add some colour next month, if I survive.

1. daveyj3 - the textures are delicious, but the infinite detail in the biomass almost subsumed by the colour scheme... priceless! "I just kept looking at it"
2. Leaf-nin... Tartyrsause... Leaf-nin... Tartyrsause... Leaf-nin! Another masterpiece, I find myself staring and wondering. (what IS he doing?)

Massively.com opinion poll: Please Help Save CoH!

Wow, these are great entries! This was difficult to narrow down. My top three superpower showoffs are:

1. Henri - The moment this render captures is like a photograph. Even though we can't see their faces, I can imagine their emotions whether the showoff was intentional or not!
2. daveyj3 - While I love the details and movement of the picture, his expression was really what sucked me into the demonstration of his powers. Nice use of the pose from in-game animation.
3. syrusb / Liz - From the first glance I could see which powersets she used, and I love the custom Fluffy! Incorporating both fire and dark was a good way to give both sets equal showoff time.

• airhead - This made me laugh, I feel so bad for the guys stuck in the sand! The story behind this sketch is a fun, humorous idea. Sand-surfing as a new travel power please!
• Leaf-nin - The colors you used really pop, and the dark fire looks amazing. Your use of purple highlights along the character's hair and clothes emphasize the fire's glow. He's not someone I'd want to mess with!
• Tartyrsause - Like airhead said, she's got a great outfit. As cute as she looks, she also looks ready to kick butt. Her intense expression says srs business is about to go down.
• DarthDelicious / DeeDee - I wish this piece wasn't in the non-qualified section, but I'm glad the section is here to show the community's talent. Great work on CR's character, DD, and thanks for hosting.

1. Liz - *turns on super speed* I'm getting the hell out of your way girl.
2. Henri - Totally thought this was a 3D render until I read the original contest thread, awesome work.
3. Leaf - Love the fluidity in the character's movements, and the fire has a life of its own.

To the rest:
Really not a bad one in the bunch, awesome work everybody, if I could I would have voted for everyone .

1) Henri (Technically well done, nice use of focus and blur, dramatic example of theme)

2) syrusb / Liz (Love the colors, conveys emotion, good use of a nonstandard aspect ratio to carry an effect)

3) daveyj3 (not my favorite, but it does carry the "look what I can do" aspect of the theme reasonably well; the expression was the kicker that sold it)

1st & 2nd were obvious for me, 3rd was more of a choice. Not sure why the DarthDelicious / DeeDee entry was disqualified, but I would have given it good marks for art quality, although perhaps not as much for direct use of theme.
