What sets do you never see anymore?

Force Field is the set that I never see anymore, other than my FF/pistols defender. Whenever I join a team with her, I nearly always get something along the lines of, "Bubbles! Wow, I haven't seen those in a long time."

Soldiers of Arachnos aren't very common, but I see one every now and then, usually on the high-end TFs or trials. Warshades and Peacebringers are much the same, scarce but out there. War Mace tanks have been very scarce, but I expect the Carnival costume pack and its new mace skins will trigger a surge in their numbers.

Easy question. The sets I see the least are super strength and fire armor. Geez it has been at least 5 minutes since iv'e seen one.

I can't remember the last time I saw an Assault Rifle.

Its a wonderful set, I just don't get why people avoid it.

Set we never see, do you mean sets in the 20s and 30s actually being leveled or 50s. I have an Ice/EM blaster, made/leveled it issue 3, don't play it much since EM got fixed, but I can't remember seeing another 50 or one being leveled. Same with Ice/Fire tank in issue 7, can't remember the last time I saw an Ice tank. Fortunatas littered the landscape for a while, my widow was so lonely, now don't see the Forts anymore, couple more widows, don't see them being leveled thou. Warshades are busy characters and are so much easier to level solo.
Another slant on this questions, sets we don't see played well anymore. Kinetic defenders for me. They play so much different than controller/corruptor. So many seem to think, use speed boost and there done. It just drives me nuts.

I think different servers will have you seeing more of certain sets than others. I find Stalkers least sighted and so then it'll probably a set of Stalkers less taken.

I dont see many duel blade stalkers much :/ I swear I think I'm the only one on freedom.. I see db brutes and scrappers..

Pain Domination, Ninjas, Poison, Energy Blast, Icy Assault, Thorny Assault, Energy Melee, Stone Melee... and most Stalkers in general...sorry.

I think this is how it should be.

Probably won't be happy until we've got so many sets for our ATs that practically all of them will be rare except the 'three' sets you see kinda all the time (because people are sheep and uncreative).

So any sets you don't see often, blame it on Street Justice, Super Strength, Titan Weapons, Invulnerability, Willpower, Fiery Aura, Plant Control, Earth Control, Fire Control, Fire Blast, Dual Pistols, Storm Summoning, Robotics, Necromancy, Kinetics, Cold Domination and Dark Miasma...

Hmm, that list is too long...we need more sets to dilute it.

I never see the Concealment set, but I don't have the +Perception proc slotted...

What ARE the most common sets anyway? Is there a thread for that?

One funny thing I think when I see this thread is how I'm no stranger to suddenly going back to some toon I created years ago and playing it. Just the other day I pulled out my Merc/Traps MM for example. So saying I don't see set X much anymore sort of doesn't work for me. :P

It's been... probably over a year since I've seen an Ice Armor tank.

I tend to hop on and solo mid-level red-side on low population servers, so I don't see many people ever, but...

Fortunatas. When I do see Widows, they're Night Widows.
Sonic and FF types. When I do see an FF bubble, it's almost always somebody playing Traps.
Ice Melee. Do people do that ever? Even EM is more common.
Kinetic Melee. Shockingly unpopular.
Ice Control, Gravity Control. Electric Control. I don't think I've ever teamed with anyone using Electric control and it's probably been four years since I've seen either of the other two outside the courtyard in PI or standing around in AP.
Psychic Blast and Dark Blast Blasters. I suspect I wouldn't see any Electric Blast blasters if it hadn't been a launch set.

My main is a Plant/Thorn Dom, and I rarely see Thorns - but it is a beautiful secondary. I 3 slot the -Def on the Thorns powers and everything -melts-

Looking at all the answers, seems like my initial impression on Pain matches other players'. Maybe it caught my attention because when I left the game there were so many pain doms (it was brand new) and I haven't seen one since (someone even posted the powerset seems to have 'vanished' lol).

Sure the experience differs for each of us (for example, it's weird how many peacebringers I see both in te 30s and in iTrials on Freem).

But looking at the answers there are others I haven't seen these last 6 months - sonic blast, ice armor (counting the ones I haven't seen any, not the ones I barely see, and I PuG a lot). Maybe FF too.

Melee sets aren't as easy to notice but I can say I've never seen anyone using Crowd Control (since I started in i9) except Banes - I saw quite a few WM and BA Scrappers when the set was ported but mostly on Posis so I'm guessing most of them weren't leveled much.

One very noticeable melee set (since it's so flashy) that I have the impression 'Im the only one' is Dual Blades, although it may be just me since it gets a lot of build requests and etc in the forums, and tbh I was finding the set kinda meh until level 26 and now I love it. Maybe the melee weapon sets aren't very popular nowadays because of TW.

I see basically every blast set because sometimes I team with the Repeat Offenders and they love corrs and defs, so Ar, Ice Blast, etc, are not uncommon there. But even among them, I don't remember seeing a Sonic Blast toon in like, forever.

I don't think it's just because some set is 'gimp' or not, although it certainly helps if it's clearly an underperformer, I gave up on en elec blast corr because of that. Dual Pistols for example still seem very popular to me (but then again it's one of those sets a lot of people, including me, just ove the animations), while the numerically great Kinetic Melee is not seen often (although it certainly doesn't fall in the 'I never see those' category). Then again with the influx of new melee sets (and ports like WM for scraps, katana for Brutes) I'm not surprised that some are in the 'rare' category and others going down on popularity like Spines and BS.

Haven't seen a psi blast corr yet and having a rad/psi defender, I find the set very good, unlike the blaster port (for pve).
