SR is also fairly easy to get to the incarnate soft cap of 59%. It is also not a clicky set so it goes well with weapon sets like TW and Staff.
My main is a dm/sr brute i have been playing and enjoying Devil Dingo for years. It isn't flashy nor has it the shiney toys some of the other sets have but it's still very effective.
like others have said...it's just going to get even better with the i24 io changes and the capped DDR is awesome...especially at the end game. -
Here is the build i have been using. It is pretty expensive but very effective. I do like quicksand but i just couldn't fit it in to keep my recharge where i want it and late in game i was not using it much anyways. Tremor isn't very good but i still kept it for the io's and an extra aoe.

Here is the build i am using so far. I really don't need to see for too much end recovery because energy drain gives you unlimited endurance. I went spiritual with alpha to get hasten and energize perma and i went rebirth on my destiny to go with perma energize to give me tons of recharge.

Easy question. The sets I see the least are super strength and fire armor. Geez it has been at least 5 minutes since iv'e seen one.

Sorry OP your build just does not make much sense. You are slotting some of your mezz powers for pure damage. You are a dominator not a troller.
All i got to say is listen to android33. I thought i had an Uber build and he made it even better. -
Another option is running alot of incarnate trials and save all your astral merits. You can buy any of those pricey orange Io's for 32 astral merits at the astral vendor in ouro.

WOW....as soon as i get home from work i'm respecing my build. You sure opened my eyes. LOL
I have tons of incarnate salvage so i'm gonna get my tier 4 musculature alpha and get rid of sj and grab assault. Also i will 5 slot stone spears with decimation and put that extra slot into hasten.
I think i will stay with ageless as my destiny though. What did you take as your tier 4 destiny??

The tier 4 Spiritual alpha slot gives me perma hasten. I also have the tier 4 ageless and yes i realize i have an excessive amount of recharge. lol
I really dig your suggestions android....i planned on doing yet another respec so i think i might follow your suggetions.
The only reason is i am considering picking up quicksand again is that i run alot of bafs. When we r killing off the escapees i thought i could throw out QS on the path where im not currently occupying to help out my team mates. Other than that....QS is kind of pointless end game. -
I pretty much agree what android is saying. You need kinetic combats in all your melee's for soft capped s/l. My build proves that you can have soft capped defenses and 132% global recharge before hasten.
I do have frozen armor 6 slotted with 5 red fortunes and the lotg +7.5 IO. I wanted as many recharge bonus' as possible.
I have the kb protection in SJ just incase i die and lose my pema dom.... this way i have some kind of kb protection until domination is back up. I probably will respec out of super jump at some point and bring back quicksand.
I use that same opening attack as well and it's pretty friken awesome. I also like to use hoarfrost before i go in to help me absorb the alpha better.
I Only really struggle a tiny bit in incarnate trials because of all that enegy damage....so i usually carry a few more purples when doing bafs/lams/keyes -
I Like quick sand but i found myself not using it often end game. I chose super jump over QS for the knock back protection and i chose invisiblity as a LOTG mule over QS.
I do admit that i have an excessive amount of recharge especially with my build having tier 4 ageless and spiritual incarnate slots but i'm a recharge ***** lol.
I see your point on tremor but it's an aoe that is useful from time to time and it's a good oblit or armegeddon set mule.
I do think heavy mallet is a must though...it's a crucial part of my ST target attack chain. I have a enough recharge that i can alternate between the 3 melee attacks with no down time and i need it for my kinetic combats.
Don't put kinetic crashes into earthquake....it turns it fron KD to KB.
Take the numina proc out of hoar frost and put it in health. In hoarfrost you will only get the recov/regen bonus while hoarfrost is active. In health you will allways have the bonus.
If your taking ice armor you might want to consider going for the s/L defense soft cap . Power boost only last 15 seconds so you will have at least 15 seconds of downtime without soft capped defenses. -
I would keep tremor ....It is a so so aoe but it comes in handy. Why Don't you want stone mallet??? It is a pretty good ST attack.

I have an io'd out level 50 earth/earth/ice dom that i have been playing for almost 2 years.

I have a level 50 stj/dark brute that i have i'od out. I'm not completly satisfied with the build but it's sufficient. Until you get some Io's in it...its a very very tough ride endurance wise. Now that i'm level 50 i really no longer have END issues. My recovery rate is 3.89 seconds and my End useage is like 1.54. This is allowed me to go the spiritual tree on the alpha. Also i just got my tier 4 ageless which means i have no END issues at all anymore.
I am not soft capped on s/l...its at around 35%...1 small purple is all i need to soft cap.
On the op's build i see 2 things that i would change. 1st i would be frankenslotting dark regeneration with 6 slots and the awesome THEFT OF ESSENCE + END proc. Dark regen really needs a good amount of acc/end/rech/and to a lesser extent heal. It is a huge END Hog and the way its currently slotted his blue bar will go down to nothing very quickly.
The other thing i woud change is swapping manuevers for combat jumping. Maneuvers defenses are not much higher than combat jumping but its END cost is much much higher.
Here is the build i am currently using....i will most likely be respecing to get the soul mastery powers now that i have tier 4 ageless. I just havnt figured out a build i like yet.

Emberly I DO have the theft of esence proc in dark regeneration. I bought it at level 22. It only cost me about 20 mil...which in these days is a bargain.
I totally agree that it is a must have and most certainly a game changer. -

I really am enjoying my stj/da and i see that it is a late bloomer and dark regeneration is so addictive. I do have the ToE proc in dark regen.....it helps immensly. I will not be taking the fear toggle but i will be taking the stun toggle. I have mostly solo'd my toon to 30...i am currently running at 0x6 and i am having few problems except for having to pop blues from time to time. I am heavily slotted for end reduction but end is still an issue from time to time but i have played other brutes with far more end problems then my /Da toon.
After reading these 2 responses im starting to think that /Da may actually be underated. You don't see that many toons with DA and the general feeling towards DA is that it's not very good. I chose DA because i have leveled every other brute secondary except DA, stone, and regen to 50 and i wanted to try a new set despite everyone in my SG telling me it was horrible.
So far i am liking it and maybe i just thought it needed a buff because i was focused on the negatives of the set and not the positives. -
I have been having fun leveling up my STJ/DA brute and while /DA certainly is not a bad set i can't help but think that it is a little lacking compared to similar armors ELEC and FA. Dark regeneration is incredible and the psi resistance is sweet but DA doesnt have all the the bells and whistles that the other 2 sets have.
I'm thinking that maybe DA needs a little dev love...elec/fire and recently EA have all been given nice buffs so it's only right to give DA a buff too.
I'm not thinking anything huge like what EA got but just little things like kb and imob protecion...shadow cloak having the same defensive numbers as energy cloak...toggles requiring less endurance...and so on.
so what do you all think?? -
Since alot of you guys in this thread know alot about dark armor...i got a question for you all. What are the advantages of dark armor over fire and electric armors?? I just a rolled stj/DA and he is pretty fun but DA doesnt seem to have all the bells and whistles the other 2 sets have other then really good psi resistance. So i want to know what makes dark worthwhile.

I have a perma dom earth/earth/ice with soft cap def to s/l. It's a really fun toon.
I'm posting my build.....maybe it will help. It's a bit pricey but you can allways swap the ragnarok set for a set of posi's.

I sent ncsoft an email about the problem and they sent me a diagnostic program that checks connectivity. I am at work right now so i have not tried it yet but after seeing many other people having the same problem i doubt thats the problem.
I sent ncsoft support another email telling them that others are having this issue. hopefully it gets resolved soon. -
When i click on the ncsoft launcher ...either it does not click on or i get an access denied message. Any one else having this problem or does anyone know how to fix it??

Another reason to slot a melee attack with KC is the 3 points of knockback protection. With a a BOTZ in superjump and a set of KC in punch...i never get knocked down/back. -

Like i said though....it really doesnt matter much if your building a farmer....you won't be using the St attacks too much anyways. -
In my current build i have a full set of kinetic crash in punch. Keep in mind that my ss/fire is strictly a farmer. I personaly would not put the set in knockout blow but if the build is just for farming i suppose it doesn't really matter where you put it.
