I'd say Boomtown because the only reason to go there is a mission sending you there. There are no contacts in the zone, Babbage is easier to get with a Synapse TF, the zone itself isn't visually appealing, and the only reason for anyone to go to the zone is to get a couple of badges or being sent there on a mission. It's been like that since I started in Issue 3, back in February 2005.

Hi everyone,

For:

Quote:
Talk of Dimensional Warder and Mother Mayhem. No one knows if the MoM MM counts for it or not. The zone invasion one did not count.
I just wanted to let you know that we're aware that MoM is not currently counting for Dimensional Warder, and we're working on a fix. We will let you know more when the fix is implemented.

However, the Praetorian Invasion version of Mother Mayhem will not qualify for this badge.

Yeah, highly possible, and needs a revamp. But most of the hazard zones are pretty much ghost towns at this point.

Either way, I think Dark Astoria was the right choice for the revamp, from all the stuff in beta it's looking pretty wicked and definitely something I'm looking forward to going live

The rest is good.
You're assuming that's the only feedback they're getting. Or even the majority of it. Forums are inherently skewed toward the negative. If they were an accurate representation of player attitude, this game wouldn't have made it to the one year mark.

I agree. Dark Astoria has a lot more story hooks to play with. So it's the obvious choice. Boomtown... it's just sort of there. The best idea I can think of is making it being rebuilt, that or the 5th Column building a giant skull fortress there.

And having it duel a big Longboy sky carrier. >_>

I'm getting the impression that they are happier getting complaints about their content these days than getting compliments about it.
Oh, but they HAVE responded.

They're putting things like the Elemental costume parts under the "Collections" tab. They're also making the tab viewable by other people under your information, just like badges. So now, other players will be able to see what costume parts you have, and what ones you're missing.

That's right, they've expanded it to selling badges. Oh, sure, they're called "Collections" instead of "Badges", but that's a distinction worthy of Jack's ED comments.

They've realized that they can get more than just the hardcore costumers to buy them even though they hate them. They're going after the hardcore badgers, too. Isn't it wonderful?

No alternate means at launch, you mean. Which is exactly what they said during the first wave of feedback after the last Player Summit.

honestly? yawn.

I've stopped caring about the bruhahha about the super packs.

either they will sell or they will be a colossal failure. I think they've been debated to death already.

well, to filter in, overall a cute ustream damaged by the distressing news about the superpacks. I am holding out hope for the "at launch" qualifier as meaning they eventually will sell them. As it stands, I will not purchase or redeem any vet tokens for them. I, if, in the future, i can get the costume parts in a manner that does not involve luck, then i will purchase them, and might even by a pack or two as a good will offering, but There is only one way to make a point, and that is to be consistent. and only one type of vote really counts.

What Praetorian Invasion version?

They have yet to prove that they do care about feedback. All I see is towing the party line and no changes, despite getting smacked in their heads with datamines showing what players gave feedback on months before.

Well, if and when an alternate means of acquiring them is added, then I'll get them. Not a second sooner than that.

When and, more importantly, IF there is ever a statement letting us know there will, at some point, be an alternate method, then I will retract all statement and leave the packs alone.

Until then, I will continue to bash them as the gambling, greedy money grabs they are. When PS make stuff worth buying (which they do often, by the way), then I'm willing to slap money down for it. I find it objectionable when they try and hoover it out of my pocket without anything worthy in exchange.

/this.

Unless they're selectively asking a certain smiley abuser and using that as their sole feedback. As it is, once it hits beta, unless there's a massive gamebreaker (like the Kheldian form powers / Domination not working a couple betas ago) it goes live pretty much as it is... regardless of what's said. Perhaps a little tweak here and there.

Beta's pretty much just a mid-level stress test for the issue before live, plus a bit of marketing.

Wanted: Origin centric story arcs.
If you've only played an AT once (one set combo) and "hate" it - don't give up. Roll a different combo. It may just be those sets not clicking for you.

Was a bum move then, still is one now. If the enhancements can be available through Incarnate merits, I really don't see why the costume pieces can't be either.

They're in the business to make money, and while the enhancements are nice might not make them money (I have no idea if they've been making money on the pay for them IOs), and by making them available in game it keeps people from saying "pay to win" while the costumes have no actual value when it comes to game mechanics and therefore can be made to be bought in the Paragon Store.

Then you're just not looking and trying to prove you wrong is a waste of time because you've already closed the case in your mind.

I, and many others, would be perfectly happy to slap down cash for the Elemental Order pack.

I point blank refuse to waste money on gambling with a CHANCE to get bits of the costume. I know I'm not the only one to think so.
