CoL costume pieces live in the market and guess what...

This is not a completely true statement. Yes, NPC models are different geometries with different nodal hooks, but they are close enough that it does NOT necessitate re-creating costume parts from scratch, just modifying them to fit player geometries. Yes, it takes work, sometimes a lot of work: I speak from experience as a Morrowind modder, specifically one who makes clothing, armor, and accessories. Morrowind NPCs and players - and, because Morrowind modding is a tangled mess, sometimes even new player models by two different modders - suffer the same issue of different geometries, skeletons, etc. and I, along with many other modders, have converted one person's work to be compatible with another's without having to remake it from the ground up (for those to whom this statement makes sense, I've even gotten stuff for Smoother Bodies to work with Better Bodies without clipping, and boy was THAT not fun). It did not take months. It might, in particularly bad cases, take weeks, but not months. And I'm just one amateur, not a team of professionals.

Its pretty much par for course.

All the devs want from the feedback threads is a pat on the back.

Hell thats all they want in the bug report threads too.

That's not true. And I say that as someone who is largely done with beta testing considering how certain things have gone down in the past.

We owe an awful lot of innovations and tweaks to this game to the playerbase. While railing against a bad choice that the devs have made may feel good, there isn't much point in throwing hyperbole around when they've already stated their decision. And I say that as someone who has been complaining about costumes for a while, too.

So why do costume packs get pushed live without fixes? Both to requested things such as 'please stop pretinting' or to bugs 'hey the collar clips through the models head'?

Why do major bugs make it live when they are reported time and time again in beta?

Because an aesthetic bug is not a game breaking bug, and there are often bigger issues afoot for them to push a patch live.

Trust me, people think that I hate everything because of how critical I am of things--but we need to put criticism to a useful purpose. And griping that a Female-only costume set is being released without male bits is just wasting time.

The time to gripe, and when I did so, was when they first pitched it and I said, "Don't make Female-only costume sets." At this point, the best thing to do is not buy it.

And the second part of my post, when we report bugs over and over again in the Beta forums, major game breaking ones at that, and they still push it live complete with bugs?

And that's why I don't beta test for this game like I used to.

Where can I find pictures of these pieces?

This website has some.

I complain about plenty in this game, but even I can't find it in me to complain about finally getting pieces that have been asked for, for literally years.

You're right, I misspoke. It's one of the very few things we've been consistently not allowed to have. The list is rather a bit larger than I made it out to be. Integrated shoulders, skirts below the knee, multiple cape rigs, jackets for women and more... I just mean that the integrated shoulders piece is one that has always been flatly refused to us.

Would you mind telling me which ones? I must have missed it...

PD pack was made with the mindset to have male/female parts equal and available to all.

Chinese new year pack has only one small pre-tinted part because they know [via feedback] that players want as little pre tint as possible.

Theres an actual thread RIGHT NOW in the GD area asking for feedback as to what they would like within a brand new costume bundle.

People were requesting that the valentines day bow was added as a new model for the archers/trick arrows out there so they added them because of the feedback.

The sci-fi pack which has been having feedback on quite a while has been all about what parts would the players want in it.

Saying that they dont listen to feedback about packs is VERY narrow minded.

Man, you telling about future or upcoming sets.
Lets see how feedback goes for them...

But you said they did changes to previus costume sets and that is false.
Still waiting for the devs to make some changes to the pre-tinted costumes of Steampunk, or some variations of the Gunslinger based on feedback threads before those packs went live.
Thats why I say I dont understand feedback threads if they not modify or add options... Not before or after release.

I am not happy about this set, and I was very clear about that in the feedback thread. In this instance I am going to vote with my money and not buy it. I was NOT one of the people who wanted gender specific pack. To me, this pack sucks so am not going to buy it.

They say this was planned before the whole gender equality thread. I still think as adults they should have known better. As another person said, you don't buy one kid ice cream and not the other kids.

One thing that got said over and over in Beta threads was "PLEASE let people know this is a FEMALE ONLY pack. Even if there are a few mace skins males can use, it's female only. PLEASE tell everyone BEFORE they buy it!

And that's what they did. I was really impressed! GOOD JOB DEVS (and sales!!), and really good thinking ahead Beta Testers!

You dont get it, do you?
We all know this is a FEMALE ONLY pack.
Really, we know that.

What pissed me off is two things:

Price. 400 pp is expensive for 10 female items. (But I love them and I buy some of them...)
The feedback threads when they stated they CANT add or modify SOMETHING in the pack due to time and resources. I dont get it.

They didn't.

They bought all the kids ice cream, and some of the kids said I don't any. You have the option to role a female avatar and use the costume pieces. You choose not to, therefore you didn't want ice cream.

I think the example here is sash=ice cream lol
Every player(kids), wanted a sash(ice cream). But the devs only bought ice cream to females kids...
I do play female characters... And I am happy with the pack.

But it could have been more complete if they added a couple of things, the price would have been more fair, they would sell more and playerbase would be happier.

We just needed some things:
CoL shoulder pieces for both male and female
Sashes for males
Corset and garnets for female to set the complete costume

It was that hard?

Well I'm not saying I wouldn't love a few of the gender only pieces made available to the other side at some point, when I think they are in fact more gender neutral.

Sash for males for instance, or those Barbarian chest details only male avatars have access to.

But more than any of that, I wish they gave us a plain white mask that we could put some of the preexisiting details on (like X Eyes on a Plain White mask). I may have used that as my characters mask if I liked the look of it
