New Paragon Rewards Available: Fire and Ice Costume Sets

I have some similar tastes regarding what pieces I prefer. But Magnolia, I urge you to try the belt as well. Switch it to "ice" as a subsetting and then play with colors. I've found it makes a very nice "magical belt" pulsing with arcane energies.

The OP and the person posting right before you make it clear that there are indeed plenty of Sword and Mace options for all Sword and Mace users including Titan Weapons. Only Axe is left out and Axe saw some Celestial love.

This was the "fire and ice" pack, not the "hardening magma" pack.

Moreover, I'm not personally disappointed that the set lacked options for certain weapon types, both because I don't play those sets much and because I can't think of what they could have been given anyway within the theme. However, they undisputably did not receive weapon options from this pack, so I was just appending them to "only Axe is left out".

No, no, no. ZombieMinion, he wants a pistol made from MAGMA! No rocky substance there, just Magma. A Magma pistol that shoots out canary shaped bullets that soar into the enemy then *asplode* on contact, melting the opponent's upper body.

Dare I say the one on the right looks more like ice than anything we got in this set...

New dark control colored white as "fluff"?

The Omega set looks much more like ice than anything in this set, to me any way. All the ice chest and legs have going for them is the spiffy glow effect.

I am a bit surprised that Claws were left out yet again. But I can see why there are no gund for the set.

Just like an elemental bow, elemental claws would have also been pretty awesome.

Well, 'Fire and Snow' doesn't have quite the same ring to it, but I think they were trying to fill the hole in terms of style for the latter.

I'm not... XD.. They need to make an option in costume stuff if you want them like animated... Spred out n stuff .. I'd looove to have the dragonic wings spread out like the Phoenix ones

Do you have to fill in every token slot to move up? If so, that's an awful lot...

You do, except the t9 repeatable slots. Not so hard for VIPs these days though. You get 1 token a month (unlike the old every 3 months), and 1 for every $15 in points purchased. Which is why so many of us are saying that we are just sitting on tokens.

I spent some time playing with the pieces this afternoon after I bought all three tokens. I was sitting on seven, so it was a no-brainer as there was at least one piece of each token I would use.

My only real complaint is that there are no matching boot or glove options for the ice. The pretinting is screwy. To make a costume you need to find boots or gloves elsewhere, the ones from this set just do not match the ice.

And I want a waterfall cape without the ugly rock sticking out of my back. I tried, tried, tried but I could not make it work for me.

The wings are worth the token all on their own.

PS: If I hadn't been sitting on the tokens I wouldn't have paid money to get them to buy these. It wouldn't have been worth it to me. I'd have waited a month to pick up the wings+ token and foregone the rest.

I thought it was funny that I have two similar tankers, one titan/fire and the other fire/fire, and the fire/fire one can't make her fiery sword look like that fiery sword. :P

but at least one of them can play with it.

side note: set the phoenix wings to the darkest red, and they become very subtle. If you want a character to look like some sort of "angel in disguise" or something along those lines, do that. It's really awesome.

Aw, maaaaaan. I picked up the sets (as I, too, had tokens in reserve) but haven't got to try them out yet. But I've been specifically looking forward to icing up my ice tank. That the gloves/boots do not match is a bit of a disappointment.
