with staff melee coming to beta

With staff melee coming to beta or atleast suppose to be coming sometime this month just curious what everyone is thinking of pairing it with. A description of attacks has already been releasedand for those who has had the time to look over it what are your thoughts on the best pairing? I'm looking forward to this set so far more then I have others. Been trying to take a toon of each AT and IO him out and been waiting for staff to use as my scrapper. If it turns out to be as fun as I'm hoping it will be then I plan on putting a bit of influ. into his build, don't think I'll go with any PvP enhan. atleast not atm, but I am planning on using purple sets and some HO's where needed. Back to the main question, what seems like it's going to have the best synergy to go with staff?

Yeah since you scrapper forumites are the best builders and all, go mod mid's for me and build me a dark/dark troller permahasten softcapped to all including toxic with no purples/pvps plz kthxbai

I expect I'll either spend a day or two sweating over Mids' instead of doing anything useful and then make a Staff/SR/Body, or roll Staff/SR/Body and be done with it. No get hitsu and extra recharge is just nice.

Let's hope the port ninjitsu with staff

In its current form, Staff/DA will be dethroning my Kat/DA It looks SO good! Good AoE + fluid motions, unlike that clunky TW set.

Im considering going Regen, since its the only Tank/Brute/Scrapper Armor I have not done yet.

I'm thinking of an Inv scrapper and an Ninjutsu stalker pending the i22 stalker changes. I'm not sure how much game time I'll have to devote to it though since I have been spending a lot of time in a galaxy far far away.

Staff/SR or /Nin come to mind, but I'll have to see the numbers first.

I was thinking WP or SR. I might end up doing both if I enjoy the set a lot.

I believe in keeping with the theme of the Staff, either Invulnerability or Will Power would be best suited for this new power for a scrapper. Ninjitsu for the Stalker seems appropriate.

It all depends if Ninjitsu is ported or not- If it is, then Staff/Nin hands down. If not.. MAYBE a Staff/Inv.. the robot Staffer Z showed on the Ustream a couple weeks ago gave me the seed of an idea.

Also the real question is, who is going to join my ninja turtle squad?

I will, wait what server, and how many Donatello's can we have? What about Michaelangelo? Hmmm. . . . guess could go with he's been captured by Shredder and we've set out to rescue him?

As far as my picks so far i'm debating between /SR, /WP, and /Regen. Leaning more towards regen, build for recharge, go with MoG, Shadow Meld, and I'm not sure on destiny, was thinking Barrier??? Any thoughts on that combo, haven't gotten incarnate powers on a regen yet so not sure what works well, just by looking seems like it could be hard to kill with the defense, resistance, and regen it would have.

I'm trying to decide between regen or invuln, going for a vaguely sun wukong inspired character

what I've seen from the videos, the set looks cool enough visually to get me to at least roll up a toon.... given the changes to stalkers, I'll probably do it as a stalker as well... and when talking about stalker secondaries, there's ninjitsu, and then sets that you pick only because you don't want ninjitsu. So staff/nin is probably my choice.

WP obviously, or well I would have thought so, but only one person seems to have mentioned it. It is now, to me anyway, the base by which all others are compared, sad being the newest.

If we get a nice elemental type (stone, lava, crystal, etc.) staff, stone might be kewl. Kind of hard to work with without a kin partner though.
