It would be cool if it was Blue Steel in Anti-Matters/Positrons armor... but chances are good that it's just an oddly placed particle effect and not his badge.

In case you didn't know already Short2Care in the Ustream is me, for whatever reason it won't let me put a number first in my handle on there.
I remember you! If I recall correctly, I sat upon you.

The screenshot is from the Diabolique Trial, so it could be Anti-Matter as a Praetorian connection - or, as all the Trials have been released so far in the correct story order, then it might take place after the Keyes Trial, so it could be his spirit that she's bound to her, as a kind of evil version of the Positron/Numina relationship, and a reversal of her previous ststus as a bound spirit.

There is one little thing that's been bugging me about this Coffee Talk...

HTML 5 is going to be supporting video, not 4. =/

I was concerned when I read them talking about Adobe discontinuing Flash, but when I did a quick Google search it looked like they were just discontinuing the version for mobile devices, which doesn't affect me since I have none.

I actually really like how the MOM trial is laid out. As a leader I can go phase by phase saying what to expect instead of typing all of it during the trial and not actually participating in the trial (for the 99% of the time).

With the MOM trial, I can say, this happens in phase 1, we all enter and then I can participate too!

Everyone can stock up on inspirations/etc, swap out Destiny powers/etc, really would like to see more of it in the future.
I love downtime when I'm trio-ing with my SG mates. We do a bit of a mission, have a natter, stop for bio breaks, pasuse when a clue drops to read it through, discuss the plot, etc.

On a trial however, in my experience the idea of downtime is laughable. When MoM went live, I joined one of the many leagues attempting it for the first times, and my plaintive 'but there's NPCs here with text to read, maybe they'll explain what we have to do...' went ignored by most, as the leaders rushed through clicki-clicki-clicking Des to get to the fight as quickly as they've gotten used to getting into the BAF.

And on subsequent leagues, where people gradualkly know what to do, the attitude is 'tl;dr' and after all, why bother? You can find out what to do "Avoid patches. Pull voids to AV" etc from other players. I'd venture that a considerable portion of thow doing MoM have never read the text of Des or Metronome, and that those that have have done so as I did, alone with a growing sense of pressure to join the rest of the league who was fighting in the next phase already.

Individual players are awesome intelligent thoughtful people. Leagues are morons. Go join any 'MoM forming pst' league on Freedom and pretend it's your first time doing it and ask everyone to stop in between phases whilst you get into the "awesome periods of downtime", and by the time you're halfway down Metronome's first paragraph, you'll be alone in the lobby.

It's ironic, because I like to take it slow. If the devs are playing in such a relaxed way that they can seriously experience the storyline in the MoM in whole, then they're playing in the way I'd prefer to, but that is not the way that every MoM I've been on has been played.

That's been my experience with most teams, whether in Trials, TFs, or Story Arcs.

I'm glad that the SSAs are solo affairs, because I get to read the story and clues that way. If there's any story to TFs and Trials I've participated in, I never got the chance to read it.

Yah, this is why I trio the TFs with my SG-mates, and why they should remove the minimum start reqs from them.
Gettimg padders to start isn't hugely onerous, but QoL would be improved if we didn't have to.

Who's the girl in the Desdemona costume? Is she a demo doll from a show or something?

I know you're only haf-serious, at least I hope you are, lol, but I still feel duty bound to respond that Freedom is in my admittedly limited experience no better or worse than any other server in terms of how 'dumb' (or indeed brainy) the players are.

It's not like many people go do research before they choose a server to start on, looking for the 'Knobhead Server' or anything.

I chose it because it was the first on the list.

I told people that in the chat, but Zwillinger missed it.

Flash for desktops isn't being discontinued.

Hehe yes I'm just having fun...

It's interesting how "server names" get their names...

I remember when CoH went live, my friend and I saw the list of the servers on the East Coast and then we just chose randomly..."Liberty"....and there began a great journey of epic-ness...

and to go off on a tangent from Energizing Ion's post when I first started I started on Triumph, though I'm not sure why I picked that one. When I wanted to go to another server due to a Horribly broke build and no way to get a Respec at 21 that I knew of at that time (between I4 and I5). I picked Justice then because it was the highest population one that wasn't in the yellow.

to go with this, i picked "liberty" because i was listening to a music cd at the time and the song that came on when i was looking at the list was less than jake's "last one out of liberty city" so if we fail a trial because of me not healing fast enough, blame ska music.
