My Kamen Rider will never be truely complete without a proper henshin sequence.

Also, there needs to be more animation options for "throwing" your powers. Like literally throwing fireballs, or Kamehameha-styled sniper animations. Just something that puts more physical effort into the execution of our powers, instead of just our current lazy gesturing.

((Side-note: "Kamehameha" is included in my spellchecker by default 0.o))

That's because Toriyama actually named it after King Kamehameha of Hawaii. In some ways he was sort of the Hawaiian Gilgamesh.

I think mecha are really the only mainstay of anime that are not supported now.
To summarize the rest of the thread: your exposure to anime has been severely limited. Please look around more.

I've actually used it like that twice myself.
Once as a regular aura for my magical girl "Sakura Tenshi" another as a combat aura for my samurai character in full armor.

What's amusing was the unintentional symbolism with it: one of the metaphors sakura contain is the brevity of life and by extension, a symbol of death.

So whenever my katana scrapper draws his sword, sakura petals fall, and enemies DIE.

I'd love to have a magical girl costume pack, got a few characters it would fit to have that kind of costume as their primary or joke costumes.


The problem is, that old "gender equality" issue people have been talking about a lot lately. As far as I can see, there isn't really a male equivalent to magical girl costumes that is the same thing. (that is, without making them a wizard, or whatever) So we're basically never going to get it unless the devs commit to making a female-only costume pack.

... I was one of the people who actually liked the female Gunslinger pieces because there were a few that worked well for magical girl concepts. I'm pretty sure that's an indictment of the gunslinger pieces though.

  • No beach episodes or hot springs episodes.
  • No nose-bleeds.
  • No maid or harem MM set.
  • Poor swimsuit options.
  • No rain.
  • No jiggle physics.
  • And no jpop song playing when logging in or out.

...just to mention a few of the most important things to fix.
We also lack shorter skirts.

I will point out that most people were saying "Gender Equality where appropriate". I know at least I was. If the pack is like the Retro sci-fi pack initial designs where males got a space suit and females got 'the Jetsons' then that is a problem because the males gets something appropriate to both.

However if we had a pack that was say 'pulp adventure' then..well..yeah kind of expect the women to be in long white dresses, scream a lot and be harrassed by big hairy Apes ("What you are a hairy Ape!" "Oh yeah") while the men are in torn shirts, muscled up and punching people...I can accept there's not going to be gender equality.

Hmm isn't the male equivilent of magical girl basically Sentai like Karmen Rider?

Technically Sentai shows had both male and female characters... but it's true that the modern "magical girl action hero" kind of derives from Sailor Moon, which combined the idea of a magical girl with a sentai show. Mostly before that magical girls solved problems with magic rather than fought enemies.

There *are* a few "magical guy" manga, but that notwithstanding... I don't think you'd want pretty dresses for male or huge characters, however entertaining it might be. And doing a magical girl / sentai guy pack might lead to another "not equal!" thread, because some people would want sentai girls.

That aside, I sort of wish they'd just throw the whole gender question out the window and make a magical girl pack.. for girls only, if necessary.

On the other hand a pulp adventure pack would rock... ripped Doc Savage shirt, Indiana Jones stuff... maybe some tomb raider-style stuff for girls even. Of course, that almost demands gun holsters... and a whip holster. ^_^
