I like how people can't read. 80's/early 90's seminal movies. Some Like it Hot? Dr. Horrible?
Dang, I keep thinking of more.
Dr. Strangelove; or How I learned to Stop Worrying and love the Bomb.
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Psycho (the 60s version)
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
The Hustler
Judgement at Nuremberg
I'll stop here.....
Throwing darts at the board to see if something sticks.....
Come show your resolve and fight my brute!
Tanks: Gauntlet, the streak breaker and you!

Little Big Soldier

As people have stated, it would be unmanageable for me to watch all the good movies worth watching out there in a reasonable period of time. This whole business became apparent upon my seeing a picture of the guy who played Marty Mcfly (sp?) in Back to the Future, and I said "Who is that?" Luckily, I have super-reflexes and was able to dodge most of the things thrown at me. The result? This thread. Hence we are gravitating towards movies of the same "generation" as Back to the Future.

Drive (the 97 movie, not the 2011)
Frighteners
Mystery Men
Dead Heat (sure it sucks but in a great way)
Mortal Kombat
Rocky (70s but still needs to be seen)
From Dusk Till Dawn
Ghost
Running Man
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
Daybreakers The new one? or is there an old one? The new one I have seen, but I didn't like it :0(. |
And how could you no recognize Micheal J. Fox? Next you'll be telling us you don't know who Molly Ringwald is or Matthew Broderick is.
Two movies that all the Devs will have to hand in their Nerd Cards over if they haven't/don't go see them:
The Gamers
The Gamers: Dorkness Rising
Both by Dead Gentlemen Productions
They are also the ....minds.... behind Syphilitic Ninja Vampires
I think a poll should be created so we can vote on which ones are must see and which ones are must avoid. For instance from the above lists I would put Ghostbusters as must see and Howard the Duck as must avoid. This can narrow down the huge swarm.
Maybe rank our top and bottom 5 of the ones we've seen.
I've seen everything everybody listed except for about half of Durrakens list although I've meant to get around to watching those. And looking at your taste Durraken I insist you check out the 97 move Drive. And Shaolin Soccer but you've probably already seen that one.
Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!
Anyways, if Feris Bueller's Day Off is on the list then;
Better off Dead is required watching as well.

and One Crazy Summer for added measure.

Lawnmower Man
Tank Girl
Warriors of Virtue
Suburban Commando
Sidekicks
Space Jam
Hackers
Short Circuit 1 and 2

Anyone working for a studio producing a Tsoo-infested level 50 zone needs to see Big Trouble in Little China
And if we're talking off-the-wall 80s genre movies, you also need to add Rustler's Rhapsody
Statesmonkey Sez: Lighten up! It's a game, for Lincoln's sake!
Also: Six years of casual play begins to look an awful lot like one year of hardcore play.
Another I forgot to put on my list.
Adventures in Babysitting
