What powerset do you have a special relation with?

Energy Melee. I utterly love being able to punch something for around 1000 damage on a Tanker!

Waiting for that powerset since my day 1, 5 years ago.
Ditto.

Blasting - energy or fire.

Although I recently got my wish from Day 1, which is Dark Blast for Blasters....

For Scrappers, I have an unhealthy fixation on Shield Defense lately. It's just so... delicious.

For Brutes, I'm pretty much all Dark/Fire/Electric secondaries. I think it's pretty obvious at this point that for my non-tank meleers, I prefer secondaries that help me HURTZ STUF MOAR.

Almost all of my (successful) Blasters have been /EM, /ELM, or /MM. I loathe Devices and never could get the feel right for /Ice or /Fire.

I have 3 Bots/(FF, Traps, Time) and 2 /Traps (Bots, Thugs) Masterminds. This could be related more to my casual obsession with Masterminds in general, though.

I also seem to find myself playing Dark Miasma and Storm Summoning fairly frequently on non-MM supports, and Sonic is basically the only blast set that will get me to play a Defender anymore.

@Draeth Darkstar
Virtue [Heroes, Roleplay], Freedom [Villains], Exalted [All Sides, Roleplay]
Code:
I24 Proc Chance = (Enhanced Recharge + Activation Time) * (Current PPM * 1.25) / 60*(1 + .75*(.15*Radius - 0.011*Radius*(360-Arc)/30))
Single Target Radius = 0. AoE Non-Cone Arc = 360.

PPS When given the chance to use Fallout, It can be a devastating. When playing my main, I often find myself hoping teammate will be defeated at the feet of a stubborn AV (he is a villain after all).

Nuclear Annihilation: 50. (Rad/Rad) Corruptor.
Quasar Eclipse: 50 Warshade.
Humanoid No. 7: 50 (Invuln/SS) Tank.

Dark Miasma.

It was the first powerset I tried, back in beta, and it was my main for release. I played through the journey of it going from actually being kinda sucky right through to the relative powerhouse it is today. I still play my original character, along with various DM alts created since then.

2nd place goes to Crab Spider (so it's both an AT and a powerset-pair). I don't have quite the history with it that I do with Dark Miasma (obviously, as it's not been in existence as long), but it quickly became my favourite character, possibly even surpassing my Dark Miasma characters - both for its power and the aesthetic. It's definitely my main character redside.

Hoping? Sometimes I wish I could kill them myself.

Empathy.

Reason 1: The excitement of a fast paced team, keeping everyone buffed while keeping up with my attacks. It can be pretty hectic and that's a major part of the appeal to me. I love playing brutes and scrappers now, but there's a difference between what you do there, and careful monitoring of your team and the timing I had to do as an emp.
Reason 2: Choosing who lives and who dies.

Wait. I've said too much.

For me it's Super Reflexes, and mainly on scrappers. Shield is nice but Super Reflex is so very strong out of the box and lets me do so very much after getting to softcap.

Heck, after Street Justice came out I've basically only played my StJ/SR scrapper. Maybe not quite as uber as I'd like, but 240+ ST dps with basically unlimited endurance and bonus facepunching with Spinning Strike, Spring Attack and Vorpal Core... good enough for me.

Fire Control. My first controller and second character ever, made way back in 2008, was a Mind/Emp, since back then the pervading forum logic was that Mind/Emp was a "good" support character. It had feeble damage and negligible ability to support the team offensively, but back then I thought this was normal for a controller.

I played her for 3 years, rerolling her once to change the name. Along the way I kept seeing evidence that Mind wasn't all it's cracked up to be: the fire/kin who could destroy team-sized spawns in complete safety faster than fireblasters could, the plant/storm who rolled over and crushed everything beneath debuffs and confuses like a tank, and the illusionists who could control anything in the game except for Hami. But I stayed the course, trying to be content with my supposedly strong control ability. Her build became the most expensive one I ever played, with 4 full panacea sets and purples to crank recharge so high I could fort 7 people at once and sling a hard mez every spawn.

It wasn't until I played a fire controller and realized that she produced as many staggering, helpless enemies at level 20 as my Mind controller ever could that I gave up in disgust. She eventually got rerolled as Ill/Time when freedom was released, and would go on to become a vastly more formidable character with a much improved concept to boot - but I'll always remember Fire control as the powerset that showed me the true power of the controller AT.

Mine's a combo - Kat/Inv

My main is Kat/Inv and I have 2 other scrappers that are the same. Have over 2100 hours logged on main and have been tweaking his build for 7+ years. I don't make tanks - I make scraptanks!

At this point I could probably recite the base real numbers for Kat and Inv faster than I could recite the alphabet...

This is a tough call. While I have spent pretty much the entire time since Rogue came out on a Claws/fire brute I am going to have to go with Fire Control. You get to throw fire around, stop baddies in their tracks and have little flaming monkies to do your bidding. I have a fire/time manipulation coming soon. Just need to think of a name first.

Enjoy your day please.

Until they just *gave* it to us: The Fitness Pool.

But since then Mind/ has a special place for me, whether it's paired with /Kin, /Psi, or /Emp. I've not tried others. The Dawn Sisters are the reason for that, they all have Mind/ primaries, but diversified on their secondaries.

Beyond that, I would guess I don't have any favorites. I do like the Necro/ MM I have layin' about somewhere, and Claws/ is just plain awesome, especially when paired with /WP for a scrapper.

Other than that, whatever I build is gonna use whatever power I see fit, so I'm not terribly married to any one set. But Mind/ is really really good stuff, IMO.

As Tex said way up in the thread, Devices-got 3 of my blasters running Devices. My main AR/Dev, a DP/Dev, and a VIP Beam/Dev. This is even after the stealth nerfing of Trip Mine back in I3 or I4 and the Smoke exploit back in City of Blasters.

Second would be Super Reflexes. Just being able to solo Shards on a 8 man team when you're on in the 30s was a WAHOO moment for me.

I am taking my sig to MWO and MWT. Let them wonder what it means.
