Tomorrow Morning...

Ugh. Wow. This pack is really not up to the level of quality that I'm used to. City HAS a dual pistol character named Twinshot. Don't think she'd appreciate this. lol

The only piece I was even considering was that little garter, but you can only get it on those awful boots. WHY is that exactly? :/

I'll be getting the hard 8 pistols and the female hair for sure, the male chaps maybe. Other than that I'll save my points.

If Jay is not leading the charge then someone needs to start looking real hard at the direction costumes have started to head to.
Jay is no longer there. /Brando He got an offer he couldn't refuse. /Brando

From what I understand, he was there and still quite active when the Gunslinger set was being worked on. He was definitely still active when the previously released sets were worked on.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

Why do my female gunslinger costume pieces look like they belong to someone who works in a whorehouse?

Twinshot? Pitiful excuse of a DP char. *THIS* is a DP character.

The guns are very sexy though.

Poor career decisions?

I am not sure what you are saying. Whose poor career decisions result in costume parts looking whorish? The art department's?

Seriously though, I didn't say my female gunslingers look that way. I said the female gunslinger costume pieces look that way. I won't be using them on any of my characters, because I do not have any characters that are whores and I do not intend to make any in the future.

Ah well. You should join the crowd in the other thread(s) about it... I was hoping to lighten the mood here but alas.

Almost always, actually.

I didn't know there was another thread, sorry. Not trying to derail this one! Now back to your previously scheduled Bon Jovi references!

I'm not so sure Maelstrom can even wear normal clothes though. He looks kind... stuck in that suit. Like for the rest of his life.

The part that bugs me about this is that it's just retexturing. It's not something they need a specialized costume designer to work on. All they'd need to do is

1: If there's a portion of the costume layout that is flagged to pretint, remove it and set it to show as the rest of the costume

2: If it's an overlay, just remove it.

It's stupidly simple. I'm 99% sure anyone at the company could do it in their spare time. Hell, I would do it for free if they just gave me the damn texture files and let me work on them.

Or just stop using line art to create texture and use a bump ma. There are already plenty of other costume pieces that use bump mapping.

Pretty much.

I'm off to Atlanta for a bit and the laptop doesn't handle City well (and mungs up my settings when I get back to the desktop -- what moron decided to store client settings on the server?) so I won't see these for a bit.

But if they're as bad as being made out to be, I'll pass, and I'll continue to pass on costume sets until it looks like the devs are actually listening to the feedback they ask for.

I bought the pack, because there were a few pieces I liked. Was so disappointed in the pretinted Hard 8s, the frakking horns on the first gun blade in the game, and the jacket though. Overall just low quality. Completionist won out though.
