Is it just me, or does the Helmet of Tartarus need to be lowered a few inches?

The Praetorian helmet for males had the same issue, where it sat too high on the head.

If that's how your computer renders the game no wonder Ustream keeps crashing on you.

Well, my original post was "lost", but let me just say that the marketing team needs to get its act together. You don't reveal the full details of a loyalty program after it begins, and you definitely don't reveal them only after the program ends. It's stupid and self-defeating.

All I can say is your post was not "lost". That is all.

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

It all looks great so far, but the recluse helm needs to be slightly smaller, size wise its almost double compared to the statesman helm.

I don't think you understand how sarcastic quotation marks work, buddy boy.

I have to say with the announcement of these helms and the time that you all had to get them done. I feel quite unsatisfied. The Recluse helm looks absolutely terrible, because the proportions are off. I am not completely blown away with the Statesman one either. Come on guys. You are capable of better.

Again, worth saying "yes" to. The Helm of Tartarus looks like an eight year old cosplaying with a bucket.

Other people earned my "loyalty" to this game. This "program" is just...wow. Just wow.

Personally, I am going to reserve judgement until I see the pieces for myself, on characters I create. I can only suggest everyone else do the same. While I am all for giving feedback, we should be sure to direct our feedback towards specific groups, and keep it objective.

Let us remember: these are loyalty rewards. They are giving us stuff simply for continuing to pay to play. They do not have to do this since, thanks to the hybrid business model, the argument could be made that our "loyalty" is rewarded by anything we get for free (as VIPs) in issue releases. If you are not pleased with the rewards, then do as you do when you receive an undesired gift from your grandmother: smile, say thank you, and then ignore it after that.

I would hate for next year to roll around and for people to be asking about an absent loyalty rewards program, only for us to get the response: "We did not receive enough positive feedback last year to warrant devoting developing time to loyalty rewards this year."

"Not a fight or argument", but I find some of the things you are saying a little off and let me explain.

Anyone can look at the previews and extrapolate what the masks will look like on their toons, many don't need to see it on their toon to see they don't like it and that kind of thing is very YMMV.

I don't think anything is wrong with expressing that you don't like the design, not everyone has the same tastes and you are bound to have people dislike the design. Telling people how they should express their dislike when they are not breaking the rules comes off as control freakish, might want to dial that back a bit or not....

"If" the devs decide they don't/won't do another loyalty program so be it, I don't think people not liking the design of the helms is the people's fault they just have different tastes and take no "blame" for dev decisions about what is offered for a loyalty program if anything.

The players had zero participation in the design of the helms so it is no different than the hit and miss of any other costume item, some like it some don't which is nothing new in this area.

Because then it would be a complete wash--we weren't delivered anything that we didn't have any interest in in the first place. I wouldn't be disappointed if this incentive program was nuked--because I have no reason to be excited.

Compare this page, which preceded the event by two weeks, to this one which preceded it by forty-eight hours. The first pictures of which were posted last week.

Granted, I don't speak for everyone, just myself. But what incentive is there to participate in this thing when it's thrown together with such little (apparent) effort? Is Paragon used in the one picture? Is anyone using Inner Will? Hello?

TL;DR: Meh.

I'm pretty sure it's the eighteenth, but it's not like that has been properly posted anywhere.

First, let me say that I appreciate the civility Also, I COMPLETELY agree that the publicizing of these rewards, the time constraints, etc. has been a botched job, at best.

To be brief: I would not presume to tell anyone how to respond, hence my use of the word "suggest." I apologize if it came off that way. But telling the Devs "this sucks" or "you're better than this" accomplishes nothing but letting them know that we are displeased with what they are offering. I simply suggest telling them why it sucks, and offering ideas of how it could have been better, in order to give them a better idea of how to appeal to their customer base in the future.

This is a more blunt way of expressing my other point. Many of us would have remained subscribed for this whole time regardless of the loyalty rewards.

I doubt anyone on the fence about remaining subscribed would have chosen to do so for four months based simply on the fact that they would get a badge, a costume change emote, a pet, and a couple of costume extras. More likely, they were remaining subscribed to have free access to the Dark power sets, or to Masterminds/Controllers/EATs, or perhaps did not want to lose out on IOs.

These rewards are for loyalty. Obviously, many players (myself included) would not view these, alone, as reasons to stay subscribed. The rewards are a way for the studio to say "thanks for continuing to play," or "thanks for continuing to pay us," however you choose to view it. In either case, the nature of the rewards is gratitude, and as such, it seems petty and ungrateful to offer anything less than objective feedback.

Objective feedback on the items, that is. The marketing of this still plain sucked

Yes, I would have to agree feedback needs to be informative for the devs otherwise it is useless.
