I hereby nominate Frostfire for the Nobel Prize in Physics

Was just messing around on his map, and decided to see how long I could slide in that U shaped ice area on the stairs. I started sliding back and forth and to my amazement I slid a little higher each time, until I popped off the edge. Do you realize what this means?

Frostfire has invented a surface with a negative coefficient of friction! In other words, perpetual motion.

Forget protecting Terra Volta! Someone hire Frostfire (once he's reached level 50) and all our energy worries are over!

...I forgot what experience means.

Unfortunately, due to certain limitations of the universe, this will never be fully realized.
Just as Positron's apparently smart enough to invent all his gadgets and toys but lacks the common sense to build the impressive, powerful, and apparently 100% safe and environmentally friendly reactors his Praetorian counterpart did.

It's quite possible he just doesn't have the resources to build the same kind of Power Plant on Primal Earth.

Except we don't know what consequences there might have been for those reactors. Praetoria is filled with citizens who have everything they could want but have no idea of the hidden costs. For all we know, Anti-Matter's reactors run on [really horrible thing I don't care to make the effort to think of].

Possible reasons...

* Money cons grey to him, so it's worthless.
* Numina doesn't need energy, so he's not bothering.
* Primal Earth's reactors are actually powered by the efforts of superheroes beating the crap out of Rikti, Sky Raiders, and Freakshow...
* Manticore owns stock in Terra Volta, and now that Posi is corporeal again, the threat of an Enema arrow carries a LOT more weight.
* Statesman doesn't want to stare at green smoke all day.
* Upgraded reactor = Arachnos attacking them. No, thank you.
* The Praetorian reactors are cooled with Enriche.

I just figured out what Anti-Matter runs his reactors on.

Everyone's power generators run on money, eventually. Some of them also have the added benefit of having money as a byproduct.

ProTip: I wasn't referring to money.

Why not just have a bunch of super speeding heroes take turns running on a giant mousewheel? Superspeed is a cheap enough toggle that you can run it without depleting your endurance bar, and I have to think that a speed of 92.5 miles per hour would generate a lot of energy. I mean, hell, I can power up my entire house with a 30 minute ride on a bicycle hooked up to a generator and I doubt I go close to 92.5 miles per hour on that thing.

So yeah, I just solved the energy crisis.

Super speed? Really? Forget the middle man!

There are probably millions heroes in Paragon with the ability to directly manifest electricity from nothing when you consider all of the folks running around with Electric Armor, Assault, Blast, Control, Manipulation, Melee, Mastery, Mu Mastery, and et cetera. Why, Electric Blast, Electric Control, and Storm Summoning can even create other independent entities which continually spew forth raw electricity!

Plus, there's all those folks with Radiation and Energy based powers.

Code:
I24 Proc Chance = (Enhanced Recharge + Activation Time) * (Current PPM * 1.25) / 60*(1 + .75*(.15*Radius - 0.011*Radius*(360-Arc)/30))
Single Target Radius = 0. AoE Non-Cone Arc = 360.

There's also the classic* trick of cutting flesh off of /regen scrappers and rendering it into fuel. Since it grows back, it's an unlimited fuel source.

*considering that I've seen jokes about doing that with Wolverine for years.

I disapprove of regen abuse

I'm just posting to say that I hate TVTropes; it has rendered it impossible to write fiction for geeks.

Also, Antimatter's reactors are clearly not nuclear, but solar. This is why it's perpetually dark around them; they're sucking in all the sunlight.*

Positron has designed something similar, but his is powered by his own hair, rendering it of questionable utility.

*Note for the hard of thinking: Yes, I know solar power does not work that way. Lighten up, people.

But Anti-Matter's reactors sucked in all the sunlight!

Dr. Aeon is way ahead of you. This is essentially how the PTS works.

Well, close enough.

That was my point - we can't recruit him in the teens when he's still the leader of the Outcasts, or in the 20s when he's working with the Freakshow. We have to wait until he's 50 and becomes a full-fledged hero.

Well, the flip side of that is that by level 50, he's a lot less powerful, having gone from an Elite Boss with a billion pets to a boss (or a lieutenant!) with a few assorted Assault powers. Perhaps he overextended himself at low levels and can't do the whole perpetual motion thing anymore?

Maybe he realized that such reactors would have the small deficit that someone could take control of them and irradiate all of Paragon City while tapping into the power of the cosmos and destroy all who oppose him.

Besides, Antimatter built them, but Positron nerfed them. I call that one a win for Positron.
