I haven't actually seen it yet, but it seems like a useful item to have, especially for anyone who likes to create their "day job" costumes.

heh.. first Individual costume peice I am considering buying! 80 pps for 2 helmets of that quality is worth it IMHO

I admit it is good work, and looks awesome. I however would never use it, and this will be the first costume item that I do not buy. I think it is awesome that they have added some individual items, and not felt the need to only release them as a whole set.
So while I like them, and that they are in the store, I am still going to save my points.

Is there an option to have the big badge on the front be blank? The helmet is pretty cool looking but would be a lot more versatile if it didn't actually say "Firefighter" on it.

Part of me thinks it might have worked better in Half Helmets, with the option to allow the visor to be in an up or down position, the option to remove the badge/crest, and the option to colour customize a few of the pieces.
Even as a hat, I'd have liked for the badge/crest to be removed.
First item not bought - Reason: While it's a fair item, lack of customization options and no ability to use Firefighting Hat 2 as a more general purpose hat.
It looks great but we don't have much for appropriate firefighter attire for it to make much sense in a costume 
I have had a Fire/Fire Scrapper whose back story was he was a Firefighter. I have been waiting for a Helmet for a long time. Glad it's here and at a reasonable price.

Couple of bugs with the helmets that I hope will be fixed. Tested on males only.
The hair of both helmets is tinted orange annoyingly, even if you colour them black you still get orange.
Also the visored version is set further back than the first for some reason which makes it clip with a lot more detail 1 items than the non visored version.
Apart from that it's a pretty nifty helmet, just a shame there isn't a version without the badge and crest.

Never going to use that hat in the game, but it's cool that they're adding some real life inspired costume options after all the armor and magic crap.
Here's me hoping for modern military gear.
Edit: I was going to say that the fireman's helmet looks very retro as well, but I didn't realize it's modeled after the one that's been commonly in use in the U.S.
I'm used to seeing a different looking helmet where I live. lol
See, this is what I was talking about back in the CoT thread - this is the right way to do things. Have a nice costume piece to sell? Sure, sell it. Price it good and I'll buy it. I ha 70 points yesterday and my stipend is being delayed, so I couldn't buy it, but I figured then was as good a time to finally use the Paragon Store and buy some points.

Then it turns out Customer Support LIED to me, because I can't buy via card from the store unless I have a "card on file," which I can't have because to have one, PlayNC billing wants to make a $0 withdraw from my card to verify that it exists, and my bank interprets withdraws of NOTHING as an error and denies the transaction because the software doesn't understand. CS "can't do anything about that," but they told me my card on file could be authorised the first time I tried to purchase. It can't.
Luckily, PayPal still works, but it took a while for my points to transfer over, too long for me to wait before going to bed. I'll be buying the Fireman helmet first thing when I log in today.
I honestly have no use for this thing. At all. I'm not sure I ever will. But you know what? It's a good piece and the people who made it deserve to be paid for their work. It's a fair price, it doesn't look rushed and the piece is good. I'm sure I'll need it at some point in the future. I'd like to see more pieces added like this one. Good show, guys.
