Looks like you're trying to push out the release a few hours ahead of what was initially stated.

I'll be coming in to work about two hours earlier tomorrow in the hopes of leaving two hours early.

But normally? Rarely to never.

Sure I do that sometimes myself. But how often do you go in early and have every expectation of probably having to stay LATER than normal as well?

I just thought Captiosus' total lack of "situational awareness" for what's going on here was fairly irksome.

they have already updated the front page. VIP starter kit available from ncsoft store (the link doesn't work yet though) and rocket board now available from the paragon market, that link doesn't work either.

When can we start the client upgrading? Near start, near end or will a download after logoff be active today?

My arcs are constantly shifting, just search for GadgetDon for the latest.

Don't know, but I'm just going to be copying my .pigg files from my Beta client to my Live client regardless. It should be much quicker than trying to re-download the bulk of the code that way.

Hmmm, the launcher has been keeping my beta client up to date, is it just that easy? I just copy the .piggs and start it up?

It won't instantly start up, but it'll probably save maybe 90% of the updating and patching it might normally need if you were doing the full update from Issue 20 to Issue 21.

All night isn't nice I agree. Then again, this is a global game and time zones for other country's should be taken into account. I'm sure most NA players wouldn't like it if the Dev's were based in Europe and they couldn't play the game between 12pm to 9pm.

If you buy a subscription after tomorrow you will have access, they simply write it in such a way that a good portion of the "not sure" users will make sure to have an active subscription for day one use. If your subscription ends, so will VIP, you will need to have a paid account to have access during the "Head Start".

If YOU want a head start (on the download time):

1. Install the Beta [ http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=232906 ]

Once the servers are down for maintenance tomorrow

2. Uninstall (via the launcher) regular CoH leaving the beta folder/installation
3. Copy the Beta folder on your hard drive to the same location, rename it something you'll remember, I use plain old "CoH"
4. Use the launcher to install but look for the bottom left button "Customize", need to use this to find the folder you just copied. Say yes to prompts warning about existing files.
5. Wait for the launcher to complete

Up to you if you want to uninstall the Beta (I see it's in the launcher so looks like it would be easier to install that it used to, in the Launcher on the left it should be under "Not Installed" called "COH Subscriber Beta")

Remember the times are approximate so we may be looking at more or less hours really, this is a huge update, things will go wrong.

*We so need a web CoH costume designer so we can do something while the game is down =)

Indeed....I logged in this morning and went jumping around in GC and took some screenshots...

My main "grew up" in GC...it so should have been Atlas that was nuked...
