Since there is more downtime today, effectively killing two days of play time for me, I am asking that the devs please delay the cut off on level pacts.

I don't mind all this downtime.
I would rather spend a couple of days away from playing, than a week being frustrated by the amount of bugs.
Get it right, don't get it rushed

Had to reset a lot of things, map settings, UI settings, passwords, etc. I have to get used to this new UI... 2-3 Hours of frustration trying to log get on, but I did finally manage to get in. The new tutorials are pretty cool, if a little short though. The new shiny Atlas is neat and a tailor in Atlas was great move. A little laggy last night for missions but I did try an Underground Trial, naturally failing in my first experience with it, the AV Warwalker wiped us out. Checked out the First Ward. Used some respecs to salvage some stuff off of a toon I don't play anymore, (I'd rather not waste an enhancement unslotter) and also checked out the new pool powers before deleting the toon. I dig Afterburner and Spring Attack.
So any idea when the servers are coming back online?
Did anyone else have to reset their account password to log into the forums this morning? I was able to get into the game fine before they took the severs down, but neither of my accounts could log into the forums.

Yup. Apparently something got corrupted
It's 106 miles to Grandville, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing faceless helmets

I know that this downtime is to solve problems, but after thursday I'm probably not going to be on for the better part of 2-4 weeks. So this head start thing was going to be a lot of fun before I have to go away. Now, I can't even access the game to play it properly!
With companies like my phone company, if the service is unavailable to play for X days, they give you a refund worth X days or time in lieu. I'm assuming the same isn't done here?
Reset your password, then u can login forum.
Hopefully they will forgo tomorrow's sheduled maintenance to make up for our lost time.

Yesterday the game was down for... let's say 12 hours, and lets say it's down for 6 hours today. That's 18 hours, or 3/4 of a day which, if you pay $15/month to play, amounts to a 37 cent refund; less if you are on one of the discount plans. Even if they were to refund you the full two days, you'd only get a dollar. That's less than the cost of a bottle of Mountain Dew!

I don't care about a refund lol. At this point in time I wouldn't mind actually being able to play the game. I logged in this morning (for about 90 sec) and got booted for server maintenance. From my limited exposure, it was awesome.
From my time on the beta I know I have to re-work a couple of characters. Hopefully, I will have a chance to do that.
Today IS the 14th, and unfortunately, I had a ton of free time yesterday ( during the patch-a-thon ) but must go to work in a couple hours... Any ideas if servers will be up before my dismal return to work?

That is an interesting idea, they now have the ability to 'refund' us without it actually costing them. With the Paragon Points they can hand them out and that doesn't actually cost them anything up front.

Does anyone know if VIPs will have to buy future powersets? Beam Rifle, I'm not to mad about but what about with Street Justice and Titan Weapons? Shouldn't we get those for free?

So if it doesn't work right away be patient and give it a few minutes after changing the password. You'd think stuff as basic as say ..... oh I don't know ...... logging in would be tried before pushing it live.
