Easy, one to save Paragon City, the other to save Rogue Isles.

So probably more my second thought.... what we see is scouts poking around for weaknesses? Taking advantage of the situation.

They're an alien force that apparently use Kheldians as fuel for their starships - they've been floating around im the lroe for a while now, and were once planned to be an enemy group that would be so powerful players would need the invention system to fight them, and they wouldn't be able to solo them - that basic idea seems to still be around, and the Battalion are being lined up as a threat even more dangerous than Tyrant and the loyalists - so it looks like we'll need the Incarnate powers to be able to fight them, rather than the invention system.

reportedly Prometheus has more details on the Battalion after the Underground Trial is completed.

One of my concerns right now is that the Battalion will be "VIP" only. If they are indeed so powerful that players need the incarnate system to fight them, that would prevent any and all Free/Premium players from being able to participate in content with the Battalion.

Not necessarily... zone events may still be open to all players.

Apparently, I play "City of Shakespeare"
*Arc #95278-Gathering the Four Winds -3 step arc; challenging - 5 Ratings/3 Stars (still working out the kinks)
*Arc #177826-Lights, Camera, Scream! - 3 step arc, camp horror; try out in 1st person POV - 35 Ratings/4 Stars

I just hope the devs retcon something about those guys.. Considering they apparently enslave all the Kheldians to use as power sources... My main doesn't like that and isn't going down!

That explains my cluelessness. I haven't talked to Prometheus much, at all. I am going to go educate myself a bit! Thanks everyone!

That happened in the far future - according to the Mysterious Letter Writer, Twilight's Son betrayed the rest of his race to the Battalion, and then fled to our time to escape them before they could come for him too.

right now you'll need to do that on the beta server since I21 and the Underground trial are not on the live servers.

That's another of the great things about the Incarnate system - after each new Trial is added to the game, players who complete it get extra text options when talking to Prometheus, and he gives us more info on the Well and the current situation in the multiverse.
Like after the first 2 Trials came out, if we mentioned the Comign Styrom to Prometheus, he just told us to focus on Tyrant and the loyalists threat - then after I20.5 and the Keyes' Reactor Trial, he told us more about the Well, and that it needed a champion or champions to protect it against the Coming Storm - and that if Tyrant was it's champion, then all of humanity would be lost before the Coming Storm even arrived - and now in I21 with the Underground Trial, he actually names the Coming Storm as the Battalion, but still says we need to defeat the loyalist meance first - once the multiverse is safe form Tyrant and the loyalists, and we're the champions of the Well, we'll be ready to face the Battalion.

And as the devs have said they're working on another 2 Incarnate Trials, I think we can expect more revelations from Prometheus as the Praetorian part of the Incanrate storyline reaches its climax.

Excellent...I just simply never thought to go back and talk to him after the trials I've done, so far.

of course now I've opened a floodgate of further spoilers for others. @.@ But thanks for clarifying my spoiler theories.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

I really hope this isn't leading to "team up with your enemy to fight the greater enemy". We've already had that garbage once; it's boring and does a disservice to all characters involved.

Yeah, I'm real sure Cole's helping us out of the goodness of his heart. The only difference between what's actually happening and what Cole wanted to happen is tactics -- Duray's plan was stupid, but basically the same as what Cole had in mind anyway. He still wants to conquer us, and will exploit any opportunity to do it. And hey look, here's an opportunity!

"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...

You get the ability to fly once you kill one of the Seed´s ...spores(or whatever they´re called) which are on the ground.

More like the other way around. Hamidon is controlling Cole (to some extent), as Cole has to prove that humanity is worth surviving to Hamdon.

btw, please stop answering the question why Cole needs two Durays... four (or were it even five) times the same answer should really be enough.

Here's the exact quote:

Quote:
"Before I go, I wish to reveal to you an ugly truth regarding Twilight's Son. He is, in fact, the last of his race, but that is because he sold the rest of his kind into slavery. Whether for his own gain or to escape their wrath, I do not know. Unfortunately for him, when the slave masters burned through the Kheldians, they came after him once more and he fled into the past. Perhaps he made yet another bargain with the masters, trading all the Kheldians of the past for his own survival."
The Battalion aren't actually mentioned by name, but people are making the connection because of them being an alien force from our galaxy, which means they probably use starships to travel, rather than the usual portals that trans-dimensional enemies use - and that Twilight's Son is a Mender, and they're deeply involved in the Coming Storm storyline.
