Economy after Freedom?

I have found my first purple recipe (yay!) I think I will sell it as the money I get from that will go a long way towards sets for other powers.

Now, do I wait for Freedom to bring in more players or will i get a better price now?

You might possibly be able to sell it for more in the future... but you might also not be able to sell it for as much in the future. I'd say to just sell it now, because otherwise you could on for it for the rest of eternity... and unless you plan on slotting it, it's doing nothing for you in its current form

New players aren't going to have any inf and most returning players will probably find that their formerly massive stockpiles of inf are a mere pittance these days. Plus the fact as Bill said that market access is limited for non-VIPs.

I think the market will crash a little but not a lot. You get access to the market way before you get access to the invention system, which means lots of prem players will be selling salvage on the marketplace(assuming salvage still drops natch), and if they still get recipies those will also go on the market.

Thus supply will go up, but demand will go up at a slower rate.

In any case, I do not see in any situation the cost going up because of freedom, so sell sell sell.

Salvage and recipes don't drop unless you have access to the invention system (either by license or by tokens or by VIP), so freebies won't be glutting the market with their unusable bits and bobs.

I'm still not clear on what "limited market access" means for Premiums. They can sell but not buy? Buy but not sell? They can do both but only have a few market slots?

Also, be sure to compare prices between crafted and recipe, it may be worth crafting.

I've never seen a purple that didn't go for considerably more crafted.

Warning: if you want to sell for X, list at "considerably less than X, plus a little." For instance, if I want something to sell for 50,000,000 I list it at something like 45,000,908. That puts me ahead of the people who want 50,000,000 and list at 50,000,000... or 49,000,000.

And if I do sell at 45,000,909 that's still a good enough price for me.

Isn't there also a restriction to inventions for free and premiums?

The first purple recipe I had drop, if I held on to it would net me about 800 million now, as opposed to the 300 million it got me back then. However, that 300 million gave me enough capital to earn billions.

Sell now. It will always be worth more in the future, but by then, you may find it easier to afford 20 of them.

With purples available via E merits, they may be dips with price in the future.
I'd expect a slight hike in price with the purple sets that relate to time manipulation too.
