PC gamers take as much pride in their cases as they do in the parts inside. Soon, Antec and NCsoft will be offering exclusive, high-performance cases with beautiful NCsoft artwork from City of Heroes, Guild Wars 2, and Aion.

Drop by Antec booth #152 at PAX Prime from Friday, August 26 to Sunday, August 28 to preview these custom cases, and enter for a chance to win one! Not attending PAX? You can also visit Antec's site and enter to win one of these gorgeous cases*!

*Contest is limited to residents of the United States of America. View full contest rules here.

Nifty. I entered to win one. I replaced the guts of my PC a couple of months ago, almost a full upgrade. CPU, motherboard, power supply, RAM... I did keep my SSDs, but they were relatively new. I'd love to get a new house to put them all in, though, and given how much time is spent on my PC doing CoH-related stuff, that would be altogether appropriate. If I don't win the whole gaming PC, I'll definitely look into buying a new case.

I wonder if "except where prohibited by law" refers to Rhode Island and territories.

So this is just the skin, not the actually computer?
So if you have a crappy computer you get the skin it does nothing for the crappy computer but make it look nice.

Looks good, and looking at the normal cases themselves on the site, looks like they're pretty good cases to boot. The contest, however... is US only.

Agh, why you do this?

Custom gaming PC cases used improperly can be a threat to national security.

(Looks interesting, though I think I'd rather use some of the artwork I've gotten over time.)

The product Antec is selling is the case. (Probably including the power supply, as that's frequently included and Antec is a reputable manufacturer of power supplies as well as cases.) The contest, though, is for a gaming PC, presumably with all of the components installed, using the aforementioned case.

The contest PC is pitched as "a complete NCsoft-themed Gaming PC with hardware from Antec, Intel®, Zotac®, Kingston® and Seagate®." Knowing those respective manufacturers, it's likely an Antec case and power supply, an Intel CPU and motherboard, a Zotac cooling system, Kingston memory, and Seagate hard drives.

Yes, but what did the person who built it have for lunch?

Since it's a computer...I'm going to guess Doritos and Mt. Dew...

Two things bother me:

1. They are using that sub-par artwork where Statesman is busting a bowel to beat down a minion. If this piece is to be the face of Freedom, it needs to be redone.

2. There's no "1970" on their birth year list.

eh.... I guess some do. But I went to the site and entered. The system I'm typing this on is in an Antec 900 case with an Antec power supply.

i entered as well because it would be great to get a full fledged gaming PC, ive been stuck with using a toshiba satellite laptop for the last 3.5 or so years (which was good at first and still good, but its showing its age on newer games)

That's a good point.

Well you could always redo it later.

i entered the contest since i could use a new case even if it comes without an entire system. Personally i'd rather be at PAX, but i'm just a little bit too far to go right now since i have a lot to take care of at work.

Le sigh.

Yet another competition where in the fine print it says must be in America to win... even though I have a shipping address in the USA, because I live in Australia, I'm not allowed to enter.

Gotta enjoy the "random giveaways."

"Enter to win a 'gaming computer!'"

"What? You can play minesweeper on a netbook... Minesweeper is a game, isn't it?"

Oh well. It is free either way. I would rather know what the prizes entail though, rather than a list of sponsors, especially when one model of case they are displaying on the contest page is discontinued on Newegg already. (The P183)

At least the Sonata series tends to be very quiet, if a little hot. The DF-85 looks to be a beast of a fan case though. 7 fans, plus one optional, none of them smaller than 120mms.

Now if only Antec was the power supply company they used to be.

As one of the questions was if this was just a case or a computer with parts.

A line from the sweepstakes page

including a complete NCsoft-themed Gaming PC with hardware from Antec, Intel®, Zotac®, Kingston® and Seagate®! Fill out this form below, and you’ll be entered to win another NCsoft-themed Gaming PC

And then from the contest rules page

7. Prizes. Limit one (1) prize per person. All taxes are the responsibility of the winners. All prizes are non-transferable, with no cash redemptions and/or substitutions except for at the Company’s sole discretion. Primary prize is one of two custom computers with an MSRP of $1500.00 USD each.

So look like a full blown system (minus monitor).

Good luck to all who enter.

No I believe that is just the other side of the case, but I would like to add that side looks sooo much sexier then the Statesman side.
