This is quite disappointing. I am a paying customer yet I cannot access the beta server? I too am get the well-known "not open to the public" message. I have had this problem since yesterday. I understand the team is having issues, so I will continue to be patient and hope the problem gets resolved soon. But man, I want to get in there.

Regarding the NDA and EULA, i'm still prompted for both.. is this part of the problem..? (4 year vet).
Regardless, Kudos to the developers! Looking great so far!

If not, then you haven't accessed the paragon point server. You should be able to see 0/0 spent even if you are not currently listed as VIP. |
I'm in the same boat. I can get on the beta, but it says it can't access my account information so I can't really toy around with any of the new power-set content. I heard over the help channel in-game that this is an issue for people who have just newly installed the beta, is that true? I'm not feeling too impatient, but it would have been nice to try some stuff out before the double XP starts since I'll be on a the regular servers for that.

Yeah, when I tried to used the old Beta access, it sent me to the normal game soo I erased it and downloaded the new one and was given access but my test or beta copy 50's were wiped..I didn't mind starting over but it is quite depressing that I can't play around with the new power set while everyone around me has access.

They actually made an announcement in-game on the beta server that there is no NDA, they just haven't taken down that part of the beta client yet. They may have mentioned it on the boards by now, but if they haven't they probably should.|

[Admin] NCsoft_Beastyle: Folks just an FYI, there is NO NDA on the VIP beta. The NDA is just leftover, but it's been lifted. =)

So I was online at one point yesterday when the store was up. I bought the new powersets and placed my paragon reward tokens (whee energy wings). Everything for my character seems to be functioning just fine. I can use my incarnate powers, the character showed up as a rogue, and I have all of my various slots for characters and salvage and whatnot.
It seems like it's a case of once you have it it's yours, but it needs to synch up and verify things with the account server first. About all I can't do at the moment is buy new things and claim certificates (which is mildly annoying on low-level characters who can't get their staves and various helpful temp pwoers).

For what it's worth all you're missing out on right now is just the 'free' content since the store's been down most of the time.

I logged my second account in just now and saw the NDA so yes it does appear to be still there. How odd.

But my thing is, Is that I'm not a recent sign up, I'm a four year Vet and I've reopened my account a month and a half ago...I'm just wondering if I did the wrong thing erasing the old test server launcher since I can't access none of the new power sets?

They're trying to fix it.
Also, make sure you've got the beta client installed and not the test client.

Out of curiosity can we ballpark a release date for the issue now that open beta is here? Month or so?

No news on Paragon Market being restored and at this time, I doubt it will be back up today. Though it is a good thing we hammered the heck out of the login process(according to Von Krieger's post) and they will have to work out a fix for such a workload.
Still waiting patiently to experience Freedom beta. 
How do I get on the training room on my mac, guys?
Well as of now Beta will be down in about an hour or 30mins until tomarow night...late. Hopefully the account thing will be fixed by then...Peace

Just open NCLauncher and click City of Heroes Beta and then Install Game.
City of Heroes Test is also there, if you really did mean Training Room.
Regarding Beta...
If you accept the EULA, then pick the Beta server then you will be presented with an NDA to accept.
You accept this before getting any further, so be aware, as these are the public forums...
