Rocket Boards?

If you need more arguments than the sheer awesomeness of Broomsticks to convince them, you could mention that if it was included in a Magic Super Booster II, I'd buy it in 10 seconds flat.

off the top of my head, side-saddle.

There are already some costumes in game, such as the female skirts, that would present animation problems with between the legs.

Are those wings going to flap or just be in a fixed state? I really hope they do have an option to flap because if those are the wings i've seen in a recent video they will be the perfect wings for my 2 phoenix characters.

It can be bit tricky in oranbega maps (damn torches), but otherwise not really no.

Not so much, no. But then again I've had fly on about half of my characters so far (which isn't nearly as many as some out there) and there are a few who never actually touch the ground if they don't have to. Seven years and some change of that and I've probably gotten the hang of not running into things.

And how about a burrowing travel power?

Make the avatar invisible/remove the model/something, aply -jump and -fly and add some sort of durt trail/cracked ground and a burrowing sound.

Maybe not the most handy of travel powers, but it makes for some great themes.

I don't bump into the architecture flying any more than I do with running/jumping. Less, actually, in some mission maps.

So, if the plan is to expand on the Rocketboard idea - how about including various aesthetic options, like items similar to the Green/Hobgoblins board, Serpentor's sky chariot, magic carpet, nimbus clouds or flying creatures just big enough for a character to stand on (rein in hand) - and that would be just for Flight (still need alternatives to Jump and Run; even if they are odd (ie. pogo sticks, spring shoes, semi-teleporting sprint or even different animation choices for TP)

All I ask is a Commando Cody-style rocket pack with a huge black con trail behind it. My heroing life will be complete on that day.

I can surely get behind broomsticks, as well, though.

Definitely looking forward to the rocket boards.

Could use the same mechanic as TP; just add in the restriction of only being able to use the ground as a destination target (perhaps even 'walls'; even though that would probably entail having to flag certain vertical surfaces as no go -like broadside of a tanker ship)

But I understand why no powers when hoverboard/rocketboard/magic ironing board is in use. I mean if it looks good, sometimes that's enough.

Forgot about Swimming... being that swimming is pretty much a null power (just something that happens to happen when a body of water leaps in the way); how about sprucing that up a bit:

Surfboards, jet skis, boogie boards

Have it tied into a radio button in the Menu AI so the player auto switches to whatever his/her desired swim mode is once they hit water (whether it's the default swim or an alternate method)

Will all new travel powers be these semi-temporary powers that kind of pale in comparison to the powers in pools? Or will we get new Powers Pools that have like Hover Board Smash and crap like that?
