that's a little harsh seeing as how the targeted poster has a whopping 31 posts and only been here a year. lighten up...

He's probably a flowering plant that only lives a year. Don't make him feel bad about it.

TFab10's avatar is a Free Realms avatar, suggesting the possibility that s/he might be a younger person who doesn't really know the ins and outs of things like thread necromancy.

Given that the mods tend to jump on that pretty quickly (I once got my own history thread locked for reviving it after it being quiescent for a year), I expect that we'll see it explained shortly.

To TFab10 - It's considered bad form to dig out old threads that have been inactive for months/years and reply to them as if they were a current topic. Better to just start a new one in that case. If you find this thread locked the next time you see it, that's why.

What is with all the necroing?

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Just for the record, *I* don't find it bad form to reply to this post.
I know it is against the rules and they moderate this strictly, but I like having old threads that continue on... More importantly though, I think it displays the continued wish for the topics of those threads and can give us a bit of perspective on such things (what has or hasn't been done and what the general consensus was and where it is now).

Within the rules though, start a new thread and link back to the old. That's fine and I'm not rebelling, but I just don't understand the angst people have for reasonable "necroposts". Instead of either ignoring it or contributing further to the discussion, you get a bunch of people complaining about the amount of time since the previous post!

We want more rocket board options!
Make a pack and/or sell them separately: multiple rocket board powers, each with different skins/paint jobs.

Oh, sorry... BRAAAAAAIIIINNNSSS....

The reason people get annoyed by it (and the reason it's against the rules) is because people don't look at the post dates, or skip to the new posts, they just click on the thread and start reading at post #1.

Then they start flipping out about the upcoming Diminishing Returns being added to the game, or some other horrible change... that's already been in effect for 4+ years. Then there's a bunch of upset people and possibly even lost customers, all because someone pulled up a 6 year old thread about ED to ask how it affects set IOs, and someone reads just enough to think that PVP Diminishing Returns are being applied to PVE content. And yes, that really happened.

It's a shame the forums doesn't come with an auto lock feature that could be set to lock all threads that don't have any activity after 30 days.

But that's just my guess, been wrong before
I didn't direct my post at anyone other than crying out to all because of the number of resurrected threads that are at least nine months to a year old. We are getting one or two a week. And I hardly called pointing out bad behavior as insulting, it's more shaming someone to not do that again.

Hi everyone,

I'm closing this thread due to Thread Necromancy. Please avoid posting in threads that have not seen any activity in some time, as this serves to confuse posters with out-dated information and pushes relevant, new threads off the front page of a board.

Thank you,
~Mod13
