It seems like paragon rewards is giving more than vet rewards every gave and more frequently.

Dang. Now I got the idea to create Marty McFly as a Beam Rifle/Time Manipulation character with Hover Board as his travel power. Have to probably name him something else due to copyright infringement.

Sure we will have to use some of our Paragon Points to buy the new power sets, but the company needs money inorder to keep giving us nice things...the present economy is so horrible that they cannot afford to give us everything for free. Just like in real life, we have to budget...and now that I think about it, for our younger players this might be a good life lesson--learning to budget money is taught in schools, but this is hands on. If you want something nice, you have to save your monthly stipend. If you want to buy Paragon Points, instead of buying a snack after work, put that money aside into a little Paragon Points piggy bank. When what you want shows up in the Paragon Market, take your piggy bank to the bank, deposit it, then scramble home and buy your points. Anyways, I have to get ready for work. Is this going to be a change for everyone or will we have to spend our paragon merit things in order to skip boxing to take weave, and all that?

I am sure I'll end up spending more money in the end with F2P. I think the catch is those that can't afford or unwilling to pay, will not pay anyway but those that are willing pay will pay MORE than what they did with the current setup.
The good thing I've seen so far is that CoX is a very old game. It already has a lot of content so even if you are at the basic free level, you still have access to a lot of things. They really did learn some of the mistakes other games have made. As a VIP, it looks like I will be getting "equal value" as the old subscription and then more.
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

Tactics at 4 sounds nice though.

If I take fighting, it's often to get weave, so I'll still have to take two. For leadership, I like maneuvers and assault, so taking extra there isn't a problem. Getting Aid Self without Aid Other would be the biggest benefit I can see. I might actually take Aid Self on some of my characters once this goes into place. Usually the extra wasted power, plus the long animation time on Aid Self is too much for me.

For new Power Pool powers/sets, would it be too much to ask for a set that provides Leadership-type buffs, but only on yourself?

As for solo versions of the powers, Maneuvers is basically an AoE Weave.
Tactics and Assault would be -okay- as solo powers, but I find a lot of their utility is in affecting the whole team. That's what makes it worth the end cost.
As for Venge... Venge is a team power. You need a teammate for it to work. Even if it were some weird auto venge that proc'd whenever someone died, you'd need a teammate to avenge. So... there's that.
Well, I presume that a "Leadership But Only Me" Power Pool would also have reduced End costs to go with the reduced area of effect.
On the original subject, the new powersets look amazing (Time Manipulation / Beam Gun Defender = Captain N The Game Master?), but they really shouldn't be using the word "Premium" to describe them, since they're already using that term for something very different.
"Hey, I'm a Premium player! Why can't I access the Premium powersets?" "Well, you see, Billy, 'Premium' can mean many different things...."

@Bloodspeaker-The vets still keep there awards and the youngin's get a chance to climb up the ladder at little faster than they would have based on the old system...no one loses.

The Original probably refers to Color Customization.
Seeing how it also shows up on Time Manipulation which wouldn't use ammo.
Regarding 'Original', take a look at power customization on live sometime.
Unless locked due to being a weapon based set (Or Kheld, etc.)
The options are 'Original', 'Bright', 'Dark', 'Color Tintable', 'Minimal FX' or a choice of alternate animation/vfx.
The top listing is to change the whole set's options, the lower under each selected power it to allow changes on a per power level.
Note that on the current live version, the upper option just selects the options for the rest of the set with no color selection available, you have to set a per power color and copy to set or all powers.

Why do all these topics about the 2 new premium powersets always devolve into whining about having to use Paragon Points to get access to them instead of talking about what powers are in them? I still can't find a complete power list for either set except Street Justice for Stalkers. It's getting kinda annoying. :P You'd think on the 3rd day into ComiCon, there'd be SOMETHING on these sets by now, but all I can find is nerdrage everywhere I look.
