About Galaxy City...

I've seen a few other people wondering about this:
Will the new damaged/destroyed Galaxy City be a persistent zone that can be entered?
I know it won't be a starter zone and that there will be a Tutorial in it... but will it be an open zone to enter (to possibly fight stuff, zone events or just to visit and see the damage first hand)?

Or will it strictly be a Tutorial Zone (and possibly some mission maps or something)?

I don't recall seeing anything specifying these things and was curious if it had been mentioned or if it could be made clear yet.

This makes me sad. I really do prefer Galaxy over AP. No congestion and an easier map to get around. I always went there to pay base upkeep just to avoid AP. Galaxy City I miss ya already.

Atlas Park is getting a total revamp of graphics and content in I21 - you might find is more to your liking then

I hope with Freedom revamps comes new designs for the old heroes too.

I hate to just lose the zone. I thought we'd have a new damaged zone. It seems kind of weird to just blow it off the map and remove it from the zones...
However, this could be a clever move by the Devs to show that they don't hate villains...

Surely, shouldn't there be a word balloon over BAB's head there reading "Sweet Christmas!"? :P

Hello everyone,

I understand that this issue evokes strong feelings in many of you. However, I must remind you that personal attacks are not acceptable. Feel free to discuss the Intrepid Informer, but if you choose to do so, remember to do it in a civil and constructive manner.

Admit it: Steelclaw helped you with that list.

Great job GG

Craft your inventions in AE!!

Play "Crafter's Cafe" - Arc #487283. A 1 mission, NON-COMBAT AE arc with workable invention tables!

Love the concept of comic loading screens, like the panels, though I agree with the comments about sister looking like a porn doll, and BaBs looking pale.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

Haha!!
Agreed! Very nice, GG!

And... the catgirls' true purpose in the destiny of the multiverse is very difficult to come to terms with indeed...

... Are you people silly in the head or are your monitors not working right? Babs looks plenty black from here. Then again, I've found that being able to properly decode color and light levels is a skill not everyone has. I recall arguing with someone that a drawn character's hair wasn't white, but simply highlighted (i should note the rest of his hair was black, and half his skin was paper-white). Same thing here. Take that image into photoshop and click the drop-tool anywhere that isn't an extreme highlight. The color you'll end up with will be some variant of brown, not peach.

Also, BABs hasn't had dreadlocks in years. His NPC model has NEVER had dreadlocks (His generic CGI model did, but not the in-game model). He had dreadlocks in the Blue King comics but not the Dark Horse ones. So, not having dreads isn't a deal breaker here, folks.

What really bugs me? The FREEDOM logo being all over everything. Doesn't sound right. Just call it City of Heroes. Calling the whole game City of Heroes Freedom is a bit of a confusing mouthful.

I agree, the pose needs to be less sex-doll if she is so shocked out of her mind.

That's good, because the overall picture is exciting and dynamic, it's just the portrayal of Sister Psyche's reaction to a crisis that really let's it down.

Have you two never done the LRSF?

KEEP IT TOGETHER SHALICE!!

(I don't disagree with the overall sentiment, but I think your complaints about Sis P being a panic-doll are just really late)

Have you followed your own advice and looked at it in an image editor?

I did, and get a whole mess of different colours (as to be expected) and it doesn't really prove much. Sister Psyche has the same colour variations or black, brown and white as Babs and I hope you're not claiming she is black.

The different shadings and lighting effects on both make any sort of eye dropper test pretty damn meaningless.

People are not silly in the head for looking at the image and thinking Babs is lighter skin toned than he has been presented as in the past or in game. (image from paragonwiki)
You really believe that people are silly for not thinking that is the same colour as the comic panel?

~

I do agree completely about the freedom logo though. I bet it also sends many new players to the freedom server :/

Flood him with orange light and some highlights, and I think it'd be close. In fact, in the comic panel, there are some areas of BaBs that are DARKER than his in-game model! Gee, how can that be if he's so much lighter?

Go ahead, say "shadows" and admit that this whole color goofyness is just a trick of light.

I believe that people are silly for not being able to realize that bright orange light is going to make character's skin tones look different.

And yes, i did the eye-dropper test. BaBs is far darker than SP and therefore is definitely not white (Except in name), and as I mentioned some parts of him are even darker than his in-game model.

But, let's say, for fun, that David DID make BaBs lighter on purpose. Why would he do such a thing?

Because dark and cold colors recede into the background. I tested this in photoshop by making just his skin darker, and guess what? You don't even notice that he's THERE. It really mucks up the composition. In LIGHT of this, I guess David really did make the choice to give Babs a lighter skin base. It's not racism, it's Color Theory.... I hated that class >_<

Did the color dropper test on their faces, the only body areas that are positioned for about the same light exposure as far as I could tell... and while he is darker, it's not by much. Anything enough to lighten him that much should have had a pretty damn noticeable effect on SP as well.
