You know, the whole F2P thing doesn't bother me at all... but all this HUGE! GREAT! EXCITING! NEWS! all at once has me a bit worried. It's almost.... ALMOST like they're trying too hard? They're getting us psyched for issue 21 before 20.5 is even OUT... I'm thinking maybe they're releasing all this info about a buy-anything store in the midst of people raging over having to play I-trials to get costume pieces.
Maybe it's just me. Ah well...

Allied to all sides so that no matter what, I'll come out on top!
Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)

I'm trying to think of what other weapons (that we don't have) could reasonably used with two hands.

Although that'd probably be called a "Vanguard staff"

Maybe the two handed weapons are alternate animations for existing sets like Broadsword?
"The Hamidon is a what what of what?" - Brian the mission guy.
I'd love to see a proper two-handed sword in the game. Big hits, lotsa AoE, crowd control, terrifying to behold. Landsknecht ahoy.

I'm hoping we'll get to see some screenshots soon.
"Ooo! A little fight in you! I like that..."
"Then you're going to love me."
One of the really cool elements that was shown off was something I inadvertently alluded to a few weeks back: two-handed melee weapons. It turns out that isn't coming in a Super Booster but in the new store. It also promises to change the dynamic of the weapon sets to reward a slightly different playstyle, emphasizing repeated weapon strikes in quick succession. Interesting stuff, to be sure, although I was told that it won't quite be ready for the store's launch. But hey, you have to leave something for further on down the line. |
Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...
Two-Handed Melee Weapons.
Staff?
Polearm? (I want a Halberd)
Spear?
Huge Swords (such as a Zwiehander)?
Any of these would be awesome!!!!
I never knew this column existed; it is interesting reading. When I click on the author's name on the site, the articles only go back 3 months but it looks like they go back further. Anyone know how to see the archives that go further back than that?

Is this confirmed?
If I'm reading this right it means that if you are, for example, a 12 month sub now then you have a total of 4 Vet rewards.
You have, the first four.
And then, when Freedom is live, you will get "The First Twelve" vet rewards which is equivalent to 36 months.

I would think two-handed weapons will either be one-sided (swords/polearms) or two-sided (quarterstaffs/spears and maybe 2-bladed swords/double-lightsabers). I wouldn't think you could animate it to allow both staffs and huge two-handed swords at the same time.
I am excited that there will be newer people like me to join teams with around the same levels without the elitist garbage.
