Good AT/Powersets for a Pixie?

If you've played many of the demon-themed games (Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga, others I can't think of ATM). Pixies are often featured as Lightning wielding creatures with healing/support powers. From that I'd go Emp/Elec 'fender.

A lot of energy/light themed ideas there. But why not make a human (pixie) form Peacebringer.

You got your light/energy sting, flight, light aura, light fluffy pets, healing, good defense and offense.

My fairy character is mind/TA. Mind fits the concept if your pixie is a touch on the mischievous side and trick arrow with an arcane bow kind of fits in well. I also took the fire app - only to have something other than charm to light oil slick.

If I were making a pixie I'd use a bald head, expand the waistline and make him a sonic/sonic (to be LOUD) and name him Black Francis (or Frank Black).

*This is for the 2 fans of the 80s band "The Pixies" out there in these forums (and I'm 1 of those fans).

I go instinctively to Pictsies, which can be broad sword/Invulnerability, Broad Sword/ Willpower, Invulnerability/Super Strength, Willpower/Super Strength, or, if you want to the a battle poet... Sonic/Mind? I'm not entirely sure about that.

I have a Faerie, bound with a glyph of ice. She's a toggle-less Invulnerability/Ice Melee.

A pixy is one of the Fae. Fae come in a lot of variations.

The woodland sprite is a dryad. This is a nature spirit and can be plant/plant; plant/empath. Variations can be working if the plant it represent/connected too is special. I made one connected to the Artimisia Absinthium. Which is also her name. Absinth is a debuffer So I made her rad/rad corr.

The fire sprite is usually called imp. A fire spirit like the ones the dominators summon. fire/fire; fire/kin

The water sprite is a nyrad. A water spirit... enegry/energy is a good combo.

The earth sprite is a gnome. An earth spirit that works well with Earth/kin or plant/earth. I have a gnome with earth/kin myself...

Banshee... Some form of death spirit... I made one with Sonic/kin (named Shannon O'Banshee), but sonic/dark could work well too.

The kinetic represents the speeding of time or slowing it down as the realm of Fae is on a different time then ours. Stories usually tell about visitors there who went away for second while it seemed ages and the other way around.

The elf is taller... They who are doing the wild hunt. They can be best seen as Tolkien's elves. Archery/plant or Dual Blades in a combo works here.

So many choices.. so many flavours. Pick one you like.

Too...many...ideas! Must not create them all! Oh, who am I kidding.

I can't really imagine pixies as front-line warriors, more like graceful attackers who keep their range.

I think an Ill/Rad controller fits the whole rainbow pixie mold quite well. Light based trickery, and you can color your radiation debuff toggles in R/G/B/Y for the rainbow effect.

Got a name yet? I'll suggest "Pixelle."

Well, the one I made last night is called "Rainbow Spryte."

I'll work on the others as I make them. Maybe I'll just make a little (no pun intended) SG with a bunch of pixies in it, of all different ATs.

You know there is that shoulder vet pixie you can summon from the vet rewards, so I was thinkin you could claim that, that small pixie is actually your character and the "vessel" it is controlling is merely a formality.... :P Used for "fighting."

Dark blast colored is exceptionally flexible. I'd consider a Dark/Dark or Dark/Rad corruptor. Ice, Fire, Radiation, Sonic, and Archery are also all great blast set choices for fairy based concepts.

Okay, so the answer is simple:
Make a Mind Control/Illusion/Trick Arrow/Rad/Archery/Plant/Kin/Dual Blades/Energy Aura/Dark/Dark/Energy/Mind/Sonic/Storm/WP/Broad Sword/SR/Emp/Fire/Luminous Blast/Luminous Aura Pixie.

I made an arc with a foe-turned-ally named Fire-Kricket which was an insect-looking woman (and insect wings) with sonic blasts and the vanguard blades colored red (cause they're made of fire). It was unintentional, but since she pretty nearly flew everywhere, she looked pretty dancy using those dual blade moves. And she resembled a fairy to me when I played through it with various characters.

Long story short, an always-flying dual blader with glowing magic swords sounds pretty fairy-like to me...just putting that out there.

I guess many had the same idea in mind...

But that gives me an idea. I was actually thinking of making a Kinetic Melee Scrapper with nice and bright fx (my Stalker has his colored pink for psi and my tanker has it colored subtle for min-fx). A Pixie Kinetic would fit that bill...and I don't have any characters that use those wings or theme yet (yeah, it took me a while to finally commit to my one werewolf and my one dragon I have on my rooster so now I'll add probably be adding a pixie).

Plant and Illusion control coupled with Storm, Emp or TA would all be workable options I think.


Dual Blades/SR would also work.


Really it could be a case of deciding what you fancy playing, chances are you'd be able to work some variant of it into a pixie.

Mine is a fire/regen scrap, if you avoid the fire swords you still have a pretty decent chain and the splashy fire effects can be recolored to look pixie dust-ish. Dark/dark (melee AT) might work ok, too.

Of course, I took the swords and it bothers me not a bit, but I'm easy that way. Heck, Tinkerbell used a wand -mine is just a little bigger.

I think one of the obvious power sets for this is Gravity Control. The singularity itself is a friendly will-o-the-wisp or ally spirit that can accompany you. I'd personally skip propel, but littering the place with cars and modern art is certainly "mischievous" ... as is teleport-stunning your enemies with wormhole.

I'd say Grav/Storm Controller or Grav/Ice Dom fits well here.
