Too many. I end up rotating out a lot. I really wish I could have more costume slots, then I would have less saved. :P

Two. I don't normally save costumes, and when I upgrade my computer I usually forget to copy over the old folder.

I'd have to combine the folders between two... hmm, maybe three.. computers first to find out.

Not *that* many - I would probably hit 100 or so though.

126 costumes so far. I think I spend half as much time playing with the costume editor as I do playing City of Heroes.

50ish. Mainly either saves of "main" costumes in case I mess them up while tinkering ("Was that dark pale blue or medium pale blue?") and ones I've offered in the SS&FA Costume Help thread in case I need to reference them later for someone.

My own characters tend to have one main costume and stick with it. I've never unlocked more than 2 additional costume slots on a character and those have been to play around for costume contests.

Admittedly a goodly chunk of my costume files are like this, too. I make sequential backups and name them "v1," "v2," and so on.

With costume slots I tend to use them as "sequential backups" too, or did at least, before we could save costumes as files. I still tend to use up a costume slot to "save" a version if I want to make some tweaks.

I have 53, including many work-in-progress costumes. I don't save costumes to files unless I need to load them on another character or across clients, or unless I need to post them on the forums.

Heh. How many are you up to at this point, Ironik? (CIT is proving to be a maintenance PITA with its "Oh, I'm holding on to this server - guess what, we're doubling this character!" bit - I don't need their help to fill up servers! They show 303 for me, but I have to go check them. Trimming the ones I know are doubled... 293.)

I have 6. I rarely save costumes. Three of those are for characters I put into AE arcs, one is my main so I can get the sliders right if I recreate her or one of her clones on another server, and two are from rerolls.

On the other hand, I have 78 Custom Critters saved, and I actually try to keep that folder from getting too cluttered.

Currently 766. I'd have at least a third more, but I lost my most recent folder in a power surge induced hard drive problem a few months ago, and had to reload from a year old backup of the costume folder, arg.

It was wanting to save body sliders that originally had me saving costume files. Rerolling main into something else...want to get the sliders right...save it!

Then I started going...hmmm...I should just save the costume for later instead of trying to put it back together by memory (even if some of them are really simple to remember).

Same here! Although in my case, I'd taken meticulous screenshots of each option in the costume editor to document the settings I used to make characters and costumes.

A single character took, like, 15+ screenshots to document. I'm *really* glad they've made it possible to save costumes as files!

I was just about to post this in the Tech area.

Does anyone know why only a certain number of costumes re displayed for me? I have created many costumes but my pull down list will not display them all. See pic below.

Weird, Dinah...
I once saw another thread that someone had posted with a similar (or the same) problem.
I am not sure if they figured it out or got around it or what...
In a bit, I'll have some time to dig through my post history to find the thread (not positive it has any information that'll be helpful).

Unfortunately, I see no evidence of it being resolved. However, there are some suggestions and tests in there you may want to try and see if that helps, at least, determine anything and pin point what is going on there.
