I have 16. . How in the world do you people have hundreds let alone over a thousand !? Wow, just wow. Do you all save every costume you ever design whether you use it or not ? There should be a costume design accomplishment badge, lol.

Like I mentioned in my earlier post in this thread, a portion (now about 1/4) is Custom Critter AE related. The rest are 1) a mix of older versions of some of my Characters; 2) tweaks that incorporate new items unlocked that work for a Character; 3) Or new Costumes when a Character gets a new slot opened.
I know, I know, I should clean out the invalid ones, but some backup isn't a bad thing either...

None since I had to format/reinstall. I'm not sure how many I had before the disaster, but most of them were recreations of popular characters.

Eight. Four of those are for an arc I'm tinkering with. Considering I have over 100 alts, I'm fairly impressed. Although before I changed computers, I think I had into the several-hundred range, but it was one of the pieces I didn't copy over (including player notes, default keybinds, custom sounds, and other bits... sigh)
