Hello Snow,

couple of queries just so I am absolutely clear:

there are (I think), 4 doors on each bunker (3 on red end and one on the green end?), so does it matter which 3 of 4 are taken out?

What strategy did you use for taking them out? Did you use the 3 teams or just one damage dealer on each door with the rest of the gang doing the terminals/power cells.

We tried the latter yesterday on a couple of runs and although seming to have it work, we never got the badge We did get Anti Anti-Matter as an aside, fairly easily.

And finally does anybody have the full name of the power cells so I can do a macro to use them without hunting through my temp powers tray, much like I use for the nades and acids in the Lambda? Thanks

First, there are only 3 doors on each bunker -- total. Not 4.

What we did was split the League evenly (3 ways) and have everyone wait for the leaders' signal to attack. Once it was given, the doors pretty much each go down very quickly, and the 3 seconds shouldn't be an issue. I DID notice that if the teams aren't evenly split, one door can be neglected and it's not easily noticed, so that could have been an issue.

The green door is not included for the Bunker Buster badge. Only the red doors count (or so I gather, as I've not been able to get the badge myself). Still training the server I play on (Triumph), on how to run the trial before attempting badges . The green door is for those characters with high stealth (Stalkers, Illusion Controllers) to sneak in the back door.

I know of at least 3 people (myself included) who have Anti-Anti Matter, Bunker Buster, and Loves a Challenge...and should have Avoids the Green Stuff.

Tried a mostly PuG badge run last night on Justice. We had a lot of melee and very little in the way of healing, but . . .

We did manage to get Anti Anti Matter and boy was that painful. Taking him down to 10% on the first reactor is sadistic from the devs and masochistic from the players' perspective. Trying to get Loves a Challenge and Anti-Anti-Matter on the same run may be a fool's errand, but we tried and failed. Even though we had lots of deaths, we still went for killing AM without getting hit by green or destroying any of the terminals.

Surprisingly, killing AM without destroying the regen terminals was not that hard. We did have a pet destroy one of the 12, but it didn't matter since we had multiple deaths at that point. But it was nice to know it isn't hard.

We also tried for bunker buster but didn't get it. It's hard to pin down exactly why with so much chaos, but I think we were a little slow on the last door of the last bunker.

We also failed horribly at Avoids the Green Stuff. I think I was telling people to move once and didn't move far enough myself. Doh! And many of us, myself included, didn't pay enough attention to his health to synchronize his time stop with an absence of green.

All in all, it was painful but a good learning experience. I think the other badges should be easier than A A M. I don't recommend going after all of the badges in one run.

Also, thanks Snow Globe (and everyone else) for the information in this thread. It was a helpful source last night.

I can give my thought about why it's hard to get the Bunker Buster badge (harder than people would think).

I think mainly because people have died from either the mobs from the first bunker or the auto-hit beam. Takes, let's say, 30 seconds to get back to the league and the next bunker whereas the people who didn't die just go to the next bunker and start working on the doors.

I think it might help for the leader to say, "one bunker at a time, wait for my signal" type of thing. That way everyone is back from the hospital (if any) and can go to work.

I know that's what happened when the league I was on last night that I was leading. Only 12 people and I think we had the first bunker down; then people died (incl. me; stupid exploding doors! ) and by the time I got back the people were blowing up the 2nd bunker's doors.

I fully agree; the A-A-M badge really needs to be done on a separate run I think. Depending on the league/etc, you might be able to do the A-A-M and Bunker Buster badge together in one run but....for now I'd suggest that one by itself.

Edit:

The only badge I see "requiring" a stacked team is the Loves a Challenge one. Way too easy just to die from Disintegration without dedicated empaths/pains/thermals/etc...

You forgot Dawun! He's the best....he kept healing me on multiple runs. He's one of the few players that still play his PB. Thanks Dawun!

And Bruiser Banks--I think that might have been his first keyes run too!

All in all, a great team w/ an outstanding leader--thanks to Kotchie who has persisted in this and invited me back again and again after I messed up one run (stupid green beam! )

Hi Morna. Unfortunately I was online until about 7:30am EST, and then had to urgently drive my mom to the doctor due to a blood pressure spike. Kotchie sent me a few messages, but I just got home 20 minutes ago.

I'll just have to start leading the darn things myself now. Drat.

Grats on the badge, however I doubt anyone will be able to get it on PUG groups.

Considering that is what I can count on getting (PUGs), I'm not sure that I'll be able to get the badges needed for this.

From observation..as Leo put it..its just like the Hami blooms, 75%, 50%, 25%.

Although I will say, it has some kind of Leeway. I have seen him freeze time at 90%, 70%, 30%. So the timing of it all is some kind of factor. I will say it helps immensely to have someone make a bind that says to watch out for when the beam hits, and have that person monitor both AM's health and the Obliteration timer, and regulate to some degree, the damage being done so no one gets "caught" in the beam at an AM time freeze.

And to Leo..I will still run after work at 2pm EST

Hmm, okay I know I've seen him freeze time at different intervals too...maybe it's on a timer once you start attacking him (but always at 75% if he gets to that point if the time doesn't expire beforehand).

I like the idea of someone watching everything during AM's fight. I think this is a trial where you need the leader (or whomever) to be dedicated to giving out instructions/warning peeps instead of fighting/gathering temps, etc....or at least dedicated until people know what to do for the most part.

By the way, how many Empaths/Thermals/etc...did you have in the league for this Mo run?

From our runs I would say the numbers are pretty consistently 80%, 50%, 20%. I would attribute the variation in numbers to 1) lower numbers caused by attacks that have been fired but not hit yet and DoT attacks during the time stop and 2) higher numbers due to a disintegration succeeding and firing during a time stop.

There could be a timer component, but this was not our experience.

Running MoKeyes attempts most of the week on Infinity, 80/50/20 is what we observed as well. With consistent freezes at those points we kept an eye on AM's health meter to avoid Oblit beams while frozen. His HP did continue to fall while we were incapacitated which I attribute to DoTs.

Also, late night team Infinity did finally manage Avoids the Green around 1:30am Eastern. Never have I been so happy to get a badge.

These badges "Avoids the Green Stuff" and "Loves a Challenge" are definately a couple of the harder badges out right now.

But remember when "Midnight Dodger that Dodges at Midnight" first dropped and was harder than anything previous? Or when MoLGTF dropped and the green mitos had a Mag 100 hold resistance? Its all perspective IMO. Albeit those badges requirements underwent radical changes (one for the better, MoLGTF, and one for the worse, MDtDaM, nuke'em strategy got nerf-batted) Now it is common to see PuG's run successful Mo attempts. Those "hard" badges suddenly got easy with time, just like Keyes will become.

I suspect in another few weeks it will be alot more common place to see people running succesful MoKeyes trials using the strategies outlined by us, the Badge community. At times it is extremely frustrating to have "badge-itis" and I am sure all have felt it, whether you admit it or not :P But the contribution of our "kind" is very important to the overall community IMO

I do not know where I am going with this other than to say Keep Fighting the Good Fight Badge Collectors!!
