I think they are.

Firefly and Farscape are only similar in that they have space ships and flee from a totalitarian government. Firefly has no aliens and has a country western song intro. Firefly has less of a woob-woob-woob factor and more snappy dialog and likable characters. No blue crunchy-granola types here.

Firefly is fun, but uneven, at least you'll have a few episodes of of pre-Mad men Christina Hendricks.

JoSaffBridge is enough of a reason I might (one of these days) get around to watching Mad Men.

Great. I googled (and oogled) her and now I've got to add Mad Men to the list of shows I need to watch.

Shows I need to watch now:
Firefly
Mad Men
The Wire

Tch. This has been on my bucket list for years now. The guy who got me into COH back in 2004 told me this is one of those keeper shows... fine, guess I'll have to get the 1st season or something.

And E/Luna, you guys never make any of the stuff you run feel like that. Even the no-nonsense Top Ten SG gets a kick out of having us around being "inefficient". The time me, Tundy, and Captain Denmark (TT SG Leader) cut up for a few minutes on a BAF it took longer, but everyone started cracking jokes in League chat. Just old skool stuff, nothing cutting edge, but it was awesome. Might have taken a few minutes more, but we still beat it. People hung out for about 12 runs, chatting up the entire time.

If I play toons with support powers, it's by accident. Corrs and Controlers are not buffers. You expect me to buff instead of Control or toss Corr dmg, start paying my sub fee. The second you act like you should be sitting behind my keyboard is the second I quit the team. For anyone. Or you get no SB if I'm not booted, even with the 20.5 change. Which hurts the entire team because eventually I would have remembered on my own. That's not treating someone like a human at all.

Again, this is a game, not a job. If you want to judge someone's performance and tell them what to do, go back to real life and be someone's boss yo.

Honestly, I find DrGemini's whole attitude about this thing is insulting. He isn't expected to act humanely (very bitchy and cranky, see bold above). We all, his teammates, have to pick up his slack on personality slotting. And we don't know him from Null the Gull. Like our lives and jobs don't do the same to us. Belittle us more, please.

If he would have been on a Lambda (I think, might have been a BAF) J-Force was on this weekend he probably would have had a conniption fit.

Situation: We had 9 or 10 people on, plus friends (Morna and a few others) on someone else's Lambda.

First funny thing: Morna and Lieran were constantly asking the League Lead to get them on the same team. It sounded like two kids on a school bus wanting to sit next to each other.

Second funny thing: Mac/Dragao and I decided to do the "He's touching me" "No I didn't, I'm just pointing at you really really close" "I wanna be over there on that side" bit from siblings riding in a car, because it fit the situation. Only we did this instead of killing stuff because it was funny for a bit.

How the leader handled it: Like an exasperated parent, but still did it which was even funnier, asking us if we were happy now.

How it ended up: He ended up playing along even more later when things got a bit hairy, even threatened to "Turn this Lambda around and go home" in the trial. And we beat it down, even with a bit of fun trow'd in there.

From how Gemini paints himself (Miss Prissy Pants w/Attitude) all four of us would have been booted. He'll chime in and say something about having a sense of humor, but that wouldn't be consistent with his concrete "this is the way it is, my way or the '/em kick button twitches' " stance on teaming. Which again, would be funny since he obviously can't have it both ways and told us to straighten up and fly straight from the get go. No funny business.
What I find funny is this is on page 4 long after things have run their course. If anything, this kind of late post shows that there are, indeed, some people who just can't seem to wrap their mind around whatever the original post was intended for. And, by the time a post like yours pops up, the original argument is so far in the past that it feels like it is desparately trying to be relevant.

Thing is that my post seems to have drawn out quite a few people who are finding ways to create more of an enterainment factor than I even imagined possible...

Farscape vs. Firefly? Firefly was too country for me. It felt like a "Hangover" in outer space(with humans only). I watched it completely but I can't watch it a second time. Farscape the series I own. Soundtrack and everything. The crew in Farscape were so different(all aliens) from each other that the interactions were just priceless,

Firefly is must see for the reason mentioned above...lots of big stars now got a start/boost there.

A lot going on in this sentence. [rule of pronouns issues aside]

I understand your delimma, Dr. G. I did 4 days hardcore this past weekend and the stuff I could complain will fill post after post. I have never seen so many doorsitters and TV watchers. I finally became the monster and started kicking people. I was as patience as possible though. I asked them if they were ok? I asked them if they knew how to get to the zone? I asked them if pizza was being delivered? I asked if they were dealing with wife aggro? When they said no to all of my questions I asked the team if I could kick them and they said, "Hell yes!"

What's really sad is that I was online enough this weekend that I could see and "mark" these types.

I started using the notes under each character and added "doorsitter" to several so I know in the future to not even contact them.

It got to be so bad this weekend that on Sunday I recruited only Under 30.

That's what tickles me dude. Your ego is so large that all I had to do was get a bit extravagant with a negative reply to elicit a response. After 11days! I honestly didn't think you'd come back.

FYI - you never actually discussed anything, you just feel your way is the only way to play a game and left it at that. I can't believe you think what went on in this thread was a discussion. Your team kicking seems to be your stress reliever instead of social interaction, seems megalomaniac to me. But it's entertaining in a forum.

Edit: I really loved when you ignored the people socially trying to connect with you, and there were quite a few.

Way to ruin a good TV discussion that had nothing to do with you.

This is you throwing a brick in the middle of the room just to remind us it's supposed to be about you.

I've teamed with Gemini lots of times, and he's a solid team leader. He makes teams happen which is pretty important, and apart from that one time where he ragequit on us in an STF(still not letting that go ) he knows what he's doing.

Yes sometimes I prefer things to go faster, but I get over it.

Mains (Freedom) @Auroxis
Auroxis - Emp/Rad/Power Defender Pylon Video Soloing an AV
Pelvic Thunder - SS/Elec/Mu Brute
Sorajin - Elec/Nin Stalker

I saw Dr.G during APex week and he blew me off and said, " I don't really pay attention to the boards"

WTF. I stood up for the guy...

It isn't that I don't pay attention to the boards. It's more that I don't always remember names unless it sticks out in some way.

Does anyone on here actually team with this dr guy? Just wondering because I am on this game alot (more than I should be) and I have never seen him.

He's actually quite well-known, at least for EST players.

Normally leads very successful weekly Hami Raids and TFs here and there.

The kind that makes things happen

The kind that watch things happen

Honor is adorable. Romeo is okay. Hotshot has a set of eyebrows that could make a kid poop their pants in fear.

You should get Hotshot, just for that reason.
