You should get Hotshot, just for that reason.

And this is why I should not look at petfinder.... I would take them all if i could =)

I've told my daughter that there is no point in looking at petfinder before the actual day you're going, and maybe not even then, and then I look at petfinder and even have it email me new matches.

The way we got our dog, however, is that we went to Decatur, about 1 hr, to see a collie mix which turned out to be insane. He was 8 months old and was born in the shelter which was very industrial. Decatur has 62 kittens, not just cats, but baby kittens, currently. However, when crazy collie didn't work out, we got our laid back dog who is beautiful and lazy.

Ramble ramble.

Back on topic: Eveyrone sucks but me!

And the kitties!

I have 5 cats (yes I am crazy), and 2 of them came from Petfinder. My husband decided that if I had to get one, we'd get an orange one because it would be different from the other two we had at the time. We found an animal rescue that had 2 different orange cats listed on Petfinder. We ask to see one cat, and the lady meets us and brings both orange cats. She was smart enough to put the really pitiful one in my husbands arms. When I asked him which cat he wanted to take, he said "I guess we're getting them both".

We've decided to go to Decatur Animal Services rather than the other. They have 31 boy kittens right now compared to the five or so in Fayetteville.

I'm taking off Monday as a surprise to my daughter. We've got the day planned down to tiring the dog out once the kittens get home and are just sitting in a carrier with our 13-year-old cat hating them.

We bought cat toys last night...but not the kind I wanted!

I hate all of you people that aren't allergic to pet dander. You can keep large dogs though. One took a bite out of my face growing up.

lol, I am mildly allergic to it anyway. I just live in a perpetual state of stuffy headedness.

I've only been bitten twice by dogs in my life, both while working for a vet, and one was technically being punched by an open dog mouth.

The real bite was a dachshund. Nasty little things if they aren't properly socialized. And since they are small and cute to most people, they're bad behavior is smiled and winked at. Feh.

The other was a poor junk-yard dog who had a thick, textury rash on the underside. If you've ever seen one of those cauliflower textured rashes, it was like that, and I didn't check to see what she was in for, and tried to pick her up onto the exam table the normal way. When my hands pressed onto her stomach and chest, she raised her head, opened her mouth, and jumped at my jaw. There was blood, but I totally understood her.

Hobbes and Charles will lose their nuts tomorrow and join our family on Wednesday.

That's a horrible picture of Charles, and really I'm not sure if the kitten pictured is Hobbes or not. Decatur is getting in too many kittens to keep up with Petfinder. When we went this morning they had 104 kittens. Someone needs to beat the people of Decatur upside the head until they learn to fix their animals.

Awww, they are adorable. You'll have to post better pics of them once they join your family. Yes, it's depressing how many animals end up in the shelters because people are too stupid to get them fixed and/or let them run free.

Did you forget "No crying", or was that someone else?

Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

Kitten update:

The gray cat, which was named Johnny at the shelter, I had picked the wrong petfinder thing, has ear mites and ringworm. He has to be in isolation for three weeks and get dipped in some Soviet WWII surplus, stinky sulfur solution once a week. After briefly being named Boomer, short for Johnny Thunderboomer, he is now just named Johnny again.

The black cat, which is actually a black on black tabby, the stripes are a slightly darker black, probably has intestinal parasites and is a week or more older than Johnny. He was going to have a name that implied kingship, as he now rules the house, over both the 13-year-old cat and the dog, such as Elroy or Nataraj [king of the dance.] But now he is named Eagle GT.

That is all. Back to the mild flamewar.
