Wow, David Cross was at the player summit? Where's J-Man in that pic?

I know right? I tried to tether all these HP Touchpads I got in the mail and I can't log on to CoH. What gives? I have one for each foot and hand connected by mini usb and NOTHING!!!!! Stupid tablets, off to e-bay with you!

It was a good tim, but the presentation could have been a little better. Here are some tips for the next time you have one of these events.

Have a dedicated Master of Ceremonies who is responsible for properly introducing the auctionees. They should have some notes prepared regarding what they are willing to offer and just general background information about the players. It was a little disturbing that some people thought that J-Man and I were being offered as farming slaves.

A program or at least a general idea of what will be offered during the auction would have been helpful. It would have helped bidders budget their money a little better if they had a better idea of what they could target. I realize things happen on the fly but any list that was available at the time of the auction wasn't even close to what was actually being offered.

Slow down and give people the opportunity to sell themselves and let bidding increase. Between the chatter in seperate channels it was sometimes difficult to understand what was going on and if someone was actually up for bidding. There were some auctionees who were given about a minute before bidding was closed. It got better as the night went along, but remember it's an auction not a race.

I thought the door prizes were run well and the choice of RWZ was a good one. A Pocket D auctrion would have been impossible to run due to the presence of players looking for teams. It was fun and we look forward to participating in future events.

Take your farm toon and grind out tip missions. You will eventually have the hero merits you need to get your kinetic combats.

If you are too lazy to leave AE, roll bronze ticket rolls and kinetic combats are available that way too.

I can see the transfer of a toon or so but I can't imagine anyone abandoning their home servers entirely just to be part of the 15 bucks a month club. We'll be making a presence there I'm sure. The VIP server will give us a whole new player base to annoy.

I wish the forum limitations were a little more relaxed for the returning players though. Maybe they could allow returning players limited posting privileges in an "announce that you're back" section of the forums.

Which isn't today! Seriously, could someone with insight on free to play games explain what this could mean to our fair server? CoH is the only MMO I play so I have no idea.
