I don't understand what any of these terms mean. When the zombie apocalypse comes, I only see two distinctions: you're either infected, or you're a liability. And I don't truck with either of those things.

But... but... we need to come together, to eradicate the zombies and then rebuild!

Be part of the wolf pack, don't go alone like the lone wolf sans pack!

You can't be awake 24/7 right? Someone's gotta watch your back, if only to prevent incursion by other non-infected ATM. I mean, sure, if worse comes to worse, you don't have to outrun the zombies, just gotta outrun your "partner" (the ol' tying the shoelaces together trick works wonders here). That tip also works well for bear attacks, door-to-door salesmen, tax auditors, and mother-in-laws.

Besides, a second set of eyes is useful for spotting the patch of blood or the broken tree branch that you might've missed.

I'm also speaking as someone who will be living alone in the country for the next 70 years...you can only talk to yourself so much before the crazy starts to set in...

What, and provide your kind with a free lunch? Not Beastyle's fault you don't know how to properly plan ahead.

I have invented the ultimate in Zompocalypse Survival Gear. It provides transportation, doesn't need fuel (except for the chainsaws and flamethrower of course), and it's quite stylish! I present to you...

Forget the Cold Steel bat, you want to Cold Steel Great Sword!

The great sword is only really needed against an opponent who also has a sword.

Faced with large numbers of essentially unarmed opponents - Z - you really want to go with a lighter weapon if forced into melee. The great sword is cool and all, but it's practically useless in close quarters (did you see how far back that guy in the video was pulling for each swing of the sword?), and I don't care how big and/or fit you are, swinging that monstrosity around for 3 or 4 minutes will leave you with numb pieces of wood for arms. The same will happen with a lighter sword as well, but you can fight for a longer period with a lighter weapon. I agree with others above that you want to avoid close combat with Z as much as possible, but when forced into it, honestly your absolute best bet IMHO is actually something smaller, like a hatchet or one-handed hammer, a stiletto or dagger (poke through the skull or eye socket), short sword, baseball bat, etc. With the hammer or hatchet you could actually wield one in each hand.

One in each hand? But we are not rangers!

Well folks I believe in good ole firepower and my Mossburg 500 Persuader with a M4 antishock stock loaded with double ought buck is the way for me.Thats my melee weapon.

For distance I have a SKS 7.62X39 mm with a dragunov fiberforce stock with a Bushnell elite tactical 6-24x50 scope.

Finally for the "oh shizz" they got too close I have a Springfield GI-45 and yes I have all these took me awhile but they are mine.

My Imperator-class Battle Titan laughs at your puny preparations! My Deathstrike Cannon will make short work of any zombie hordes or planets that get in my way!

BWAHAHAHA!

Good plan.
Grab a crowbar, bat, or something for when you run out of ammo after Z #1,157.

well on the vinyl...yeah right......

Cricket bat I can see but arent those a little to hefty to lug around that much?
That and as you pointed out a good chunk of us are american, would be much easier to get a baseball bat that a cricket bat over here. I mean come on, I'd have to probably special order the thing, and you know the one thing in the world that would stop fedex 2 day would HAVE to be a zombie apocolypse. No thanks ill just break into the closest sports shop and grab a bat thank you.

I'm afraid it is an unforgivable sin.

It also teaches the greatest Zombie-Apocalypse-Life-Lesson there is... even in a comedy, its OK, and infact necessary to shoot your mom in the head if she gets infected.

We need to be cold, we need to be hard, we need to be tough, and everyone who's assistance I suffer has to be gullable enough for me to command them as I see fit, yet inteligent enough for me to trust.

I'll be on my own please.

It also taught us that friends who have mental breakdowns over their love live's during a zombie apocalypse probably need to be taken out as well.
