Steampunk Booster Costume Ideas

The Steampunk booster made it to the public test server on Monday but wasn't turned on until Tuesday or today. I've been messing around with the costume pieces and I've gotta say, I am loving some of the new female options. There is a new corset option under chest detail (although listed as Victorian Steampunk 01 which will likely change) that is just fantastic. It is available in options outside of 'jacket' which I was hoping.

It can be seen here, on Echobats 'new' outfit. Along with the Wonderful Wind-up Wings.. too perfect for her concept!



I was also playing around with making a carnival of shadows.. came pretty close I think. The Victorian Decor costume aura is beautiful and makes for a great "psychic force field"



I will post more costumes after I mess around a bit more with the pack.

Nice cossies, can't wait until i get my little hands on that pack!

Awh, you beat me to making a thread on a new Booster Pack!

I had no idea it was even on the Test server and the flip wasn't switched. I must now make new characters!

The blood trail was exactly what I was thinking of when they showed off that Clunker aura. It would be perfect for Succubus Kali, who uses Blood Magic in place of Dark Melee.

Too bad I can't use Bio Plasma for body and Clunker just on arms at the same time.

Here's a few for now:

Sporting some of the new pieces on Succubus Kali. A new neck item and thigh highs! Finally!


There's a murder mystery here! A fresh blood trail, lets follow it! (You can safely ignore the blood that is dripping from Kali's right hand )


Succubus Kali's Blood Magic is finally complete! Blood that drips from her hands. It's a shame that she can't use Bio Plasma and the Clunker Trail aura at the same time. Siphon Blood never looked so damn good!

I love Echobat, Mystic... I forgot about her... And the new pieces are wonderful on her (especially those wings... !!!!).

And, yep, as soon as I checked out the aura, I checked to see if it could look like blood.

I didn't spend enough time to make anything or take any pics... I just looked at each piece to see what was what.
If I whip anything up, I'll share as well!!

Oh... I did find that you could use the shoulder fur from the magic bolero with the new jacket options and lacy sleeves and corset and such for a nice combination.

The Steam Jump Pack is replacing my GvE Jump Pack. You can use Steam Jump far sooner than the GvE Pack!

....Why can I not access this?! The hell? I've tried Test Server 01 and the EUworld13 thingy, but niether has the pack on!

Don't they DARE have made it so EU people can't get access to this, I will freaking kill someone!

I've been waiting for a more elegant dress look for Infinite Ammo and the Steampunk Pack is something that definitely delivers on that! Infinite Ammo is a wealthy weapons developer and manufacturer who has even been called a James Bond super-villainess by another player because how she dresses when not in her armored suit. The Steampunk Pack definitely pushes her forward in regards to that image. Hahah!

The Victorian aura is perfect for a Magic origin character I made recently. PERFECT, I tell you!

Looks awesome bAss.

Toying with it a bit... I'm REEEEEEEEALY hoping they enable the victorian jackets in the Sleeveless the like the Baron coat is. Currently the only option is with sleeves:



My favorite thing to do with the baron coat is to use the SLEEVELESS Baron w/Vest, the Leather Straps top and then the Tee pattern to make a sort of short-sleeved look:



Then that enables me to use the resistance Gloves and Shoulders with it:



I'd like to be able to do the same with the fancy new coat. I doubt I'll use it otherwise.

(Edit: Yes sadly I have to run with my graphics settings low enough that the glow on the Resistance pieces don't even render. I brought the rendering issue up forever ago hoping they could at LEAST get the pieces to display the accents as the secondary color selected even if they didn't get to glow, but apparently to no avail.)

Next up and probably the last one for now is Elven Ranger, my Trick Arrow/Archery Defender!

Here's Elven Ranger in her leather ranger armor. Part of the Victorian aura even lines up with her long ears!


Here she is in her elven mithril armor. I even changed her belt to use one of the new ones from the Steampunk Pack! I really love that cloth-over-armor look it gives.






Here she is in a more everyday attire. This time I used the new skirt that comes with the Steampunk Pack. Love the layered look - comfortable in those cold nights in the forest!

Really cool looks here folks, especially liking the short skirt over the armored skirt and under robes.

Is there a clockface belt buckle for male characters too?

Yep, more Male and Female specific costume pieces again with the pack. I haven't even taken a look at the Male costume pieces yet.

While they don't necessarily fit her theme I tried out some of the Steampunk pieces on Xllusya...
The Wondrous Flying Contraption (wings) are pretty sweet and the lacy Victorian shoulders will really
go great with the Witches lace gloves. I also like the leggings and clock/belt pieces too. This pack has potential.



I know one green queen (no not Chloe heh) that will be all
over this pack. Wonder if GQ knows about it yet.

From what I say on test just now, the female toons make out like bandits. There are either more, or much better costumes for female toons in this pack.

I will purchase it anyway though. There is enough in there that I like, and I want to support the company.

Ack now I gotta get on test... beautiful toons everyone... especially Echobat!
