It's a good trailer. I'm excited about many costume elements, emotes and the oil gusher costume emote. And this being a hypothetical-timeline add-on pack for a video game based on comic I can forgive this one bit of asynchronous art direction...

...BUT...

...that music is SOOOOOOoooooooo not of that era. Closest to jazz you could get away with would be a rag. But that era was vaudeville and popular opera. Not jazz. And that's clearly 1930's upriver flavor jazz too. That sounds like a NOLA style stomp that's already had ten years of iterative play to take the edge off it coming from somewhere around Kansas City I'd say.

The music is appropriate to the style of the film. This is a Newsreel style presentation, and the music doesn't sound out of place for that.

I'm pretty sure that the technological era of steampunk is a wholly fictional one. So, the music could be from whenever.

Issue 16 made me feel like this.
Warning: This poster likes to play Devil's Advocate.

The whole thing gave me Stacking flashbacks. That's a good thing though, even if the music didn't quite fit the period.

In fairness it would have been a silent movie with captions like *Thwack* if it had been truly Steampunk era.

Also, if you're wondering about the power, according to the in-game info (for [Steam Jump]) it does the same thing as the GvE Jump Pack.
By the looks of it, Steam Jump fires you at closer to a 45 degree angle, though my guess is it works on a similar principle: you jump and you keep going at that angle until you release the jump button... which is pretty fun, really.

I may or may not use the parts, but I'm buying solely to reward the making of that trailer.

Easily the best booster pack trailer so far! Could there have been any doubt that this was tailor-made for some of my characters? I'd put down ready money just to pre-order it.

My only quibble is that the video seems to have been shot entirely on location on the streets of the Rogue Isles (Mercy, mainly, I believe). Seeing the retro-costumed adventurers elsewhere, say, engaging Lord Nemesis's agents in fisticuffs in Crey's Folly or anachronistically puttering around Praetoria, would offer a more expansive view of how the pack will play out in-game.

One enjoyed this spiffing zoetrope picture show, excellent work ladies and gentlemen.

For some reason it feels like this music would have fit better to me. Just my opinion. It is still an awesome trailer.

Work in progress no more. I have decided that I'm going to put my worst spelling errors here. Triage Bacon, Had this baster idea, TLR

I think I'm more interested in the new hairdo I saw than the rest of the pack. Although it does open the way for future back options (I'm assuming).

Well, they're standing around in Pocket D...

My pet peeve is people who refuse to acknowledge it when I tell them my character has unlimited power. If I rp attack them they are of course disintegrated beyond the ability of any hospital or magic to restore. Yet despite this they refuse to delete their characters and still keep playing them as if nothing happened. ~Mandu, 07-16-2010

Is the beautification tonic just new faces? Should that really be part of a booster pack?

The beautification tonic is a one shot temp power for each character that buffs your character... With a higher detailed, resolution, and polycount version of all their costumes.

Okay, I'm going to complain about that. You shouldn't make people pay for texture upgrades, not unless it's a full expansion or something.

Nevertheless, the other costume bits are nice. I'm not really all into the steampunk stuff like some other people are, but I do like the guns and backpacks. I'll probably get some use out of that steam burst emote, too. But good grief do I hate the goggles on hats thing. It just looks dumb.

I really did love that trailer.

I would have bought the pack regardless but now I really want it having seen the trailer.

Kinda agree here, gating improved graphical settings behind a pay-for booster seems incredibly dumb if you want to attract and keep new blood in the game.
