More BAF lag after 4/27 Patch
I'm having the same problem. On both trials. Lag is a lot worse than it was before the patch.

No changes at all here, just ran a BAF Trial a few moments ago and the usual escapee lag was it for me.

Either something seriously wrong with the code changed in the patch, or the servers seriously need more power.

They've got to track down whatever bits are doing this and work on them before they add more raids.

Then you're a rarity, given the raid I was in (Pinnacle) and numerous other reports in-game and on the boards... including on Victory.

If it's a systemic thing I'm sure they'll address it. Hope you guys get some relief sooner rather than later!

I just asked the BAF League I'm in right this minute, and that's exactly the response I got. Wonder why I'm not seeing it, that's really bizarre.

Are you at the dual-AV stage, and if so, are they together or separated? That (IIRC from the morning run) was when it seemed worst to me. (No COH this evening - messing with portal 2.)
out of the 4 BAFs i been on today, 2 have been unbearably laggy, 1 was not really laggy at all, and one was about usual lag pre patch
the few lambdas i been on, the lag seemed to improve compared to pre patch
im also on victory

I was on a full BAF tonight and had pretty much the worst lag I'd seen since I20 launched, easily on par with the worst lag I've ever seen in the game. The worst part is we were attempting the Strong and Pretty badge. The event has its own real-time count-down clocks, but for the players, doing pretty much anything took an inordinate amount of time, so while the reinforcements spawned every 30 seconds of real-time, player actions were far slower. This meant that the spawns built up much more quickly, causing additional lag.

actualy my only trouble was a complete computer freezeup - couldnt even Alt-Ctl-Esc out, during a Lamda last night. The crate area was horrible.
I have only been in a Lambda and didn't have anything out of the unusual there (no lag at all really). Although a few people did dc more than usual I think last night.
I've heard other people in Liberty saying the lag was described as "think of your worst Hamidon or Rikti MSR.....add to it."

I'll throw my hat in the ring. Both BAF and Lambda lagged out hardcore yesterday for me.
Just to check her I don't think we actually mean "lag" I think we actually mean "Server time dilation" where server ticks take longer that usual. This results in
Movement prediction being off, resulting in mobs appearing to rubber-band.
Client power recharge display being incorrect (powers look like they have recharged when they haven't)
Root times being longer than client animations so you end up stuck after a power animates.
And yes, for me this has been much worse then it was pre-patch, on the BAF's I've been on we were getting severe time dilation even before the escape phase and almost unplayable dilation during the escape phase.
I ran several BAFs last night. Pre 25th patch, I would lag during the escapee phase and get recharging messages even though powers seemed to be recharged. For me, this lag is similar to Rikti Mothership Raids, Hami Raids, and active zone invasions.
However, on at least one BAF, we had very bad lag at the end.
Here's what was going on, as far as I can tell:
We pulled to the reinforcement point
We fought Siege and Nightstar at the same location, including the boss reinforcements
We failed to time the defeats correctly several times. By the 3rd or 4th time, the lag was almost unbearable.
Please investigate this and address it. Seems to affect lots of players, although maybe not everyone. I've heard one person on Freedom channel chat claim that they did not experience lag (although this was also before the most recent patch).
FYI, I disabled Team buffs before the patch, but when I looked at teams 1, 2, and 3 separately in League window, I did not see any buffs on them.
I ran multiple BAFs and Lambdas last night. The BAF lag was excruciating. It made MSR during peak hours on weekends seem tame. Lambda was perfect, zero power lag and other issues. I've been crashing more on zoning recently, though.
It was worst when the 2 AVs are together. Separated, was definitely more than pre-patch but not as bad when they were together. Everytime the prisoner escape was worse than pre-patch, and it was pretty bad before. Raids in general give me some lag, but NOTHING like I experienced tonight.

Usual escapee lag as well. Server dilation really can be disruptive when trying to figure out which of Oil Slick/Glue Arrow/PA or Tornado/Lightning Storm/Freezing Rain are ready, that's for sure.

Makes sense. The trial is supposed to scale, so fewer players, fewer prisoners to figure out the pathing for (which is what i think the current theory is as far as what causes so much lag during that phase)

each prisoner has a targeting drone + mindwashed contagion (the targeting drone idk if it really does anything), all of those targeting drone powers activating/toggling on at once when they exit buildings in groups could cause a lot of lag as well
There is a thread in the tech issues forum that has one person showing a 10x increase in the amount of data from pre patch to whats being sent today.
Now he doesn't go into details or specifics but if the servers are for some reason trying to pump out 10x the data they were prepatch that would cause some bottlenecks I would think.
Hopefully the more tech minded of the forums goers will have something to say about this

Is anyone else experiencing TREMENDOUS lag in the BAF trial after today's patch? Before the patch, especially during the prisoner escape phase it was rough. Today ran 3 on virtue and EVERY TIME there was an unbearable amount of lag during the whole thing! NS and Seige's solo rounds were 2-3 seconds between power activations and a few seconds to respond to trying to move. The prisoner phase was almost double that. And when both AVs were up, 5-10 seconds for an activation and you might get a chance to move your toon sometimes. I've never see it that bad on this game before and I LOVE doing invasions and have run a few mothership raids. Haven't tried a Lamda yet or heard anything about it, but until its fixed I'm staying away from BAFs I think.
