That'd be freaking horrible. The teleport suppression is bad enough as it is, and at least has a reason that makes sense.

It's no more disappointing than someone telling players that his or her RPing is more important than what they are doing and he or she has the right to spoil their fun however he or she likes.

Pocket D is for eveyone to use responsibly.

Sorry, that was off topic.
I have the same problem with online RP.

Yeah I mean Virtue is the unofficial US RP server and Union the unofficial one in the EU. But without Paragon outright saying these servers and areas are for RP, or have a focus on RP, there is nothing that can be done, other than /ignore and hope that the power spam doesn't give you a headache.

I'd argue that leaving your toggles running constantly because it'll save you five seconds in a TF, despite being asked nicely to not do so isn't using it responsibly.

That said I've seen RPers be just as much on the jerk side of the fence when it comes to people using NPC's badge locations and so on.

No it isn't. The fact that the devs are able to suppress just teleport means they could also suppress other specific powers that are annoying and disruptive. It doesn't have to be all or nothing.

Considering before the trials, nobody but RPers gave a damn about about the Pocket D outside of the holiday events.

RPers claimed a RP-centric space (the bar/tavern is the classic roleplay setting) nobody else wanted. It's correct that the game is for everyone, but the fact of the matter is they were there first long before i20 and they'll be there after the trials become passe.

From what I can see, the RPers reacted much better than I'd expect if the situation was reversed and a large group of RPers were blocking a team's mission door.

The fact of the matter is, the RPers were doing their thing in an out-of-the-way place, keeping to themselves, not bothering anyone and people have now swarmed in en-masse and invaded their space. I don't see the RPers as being in the wrong in that situation.

Now, to the OP:

Organize your trials from Studio 55. Studio 55 is merely part of Imperial City. It's all the same zone. IC has an auction house, inspiration vendors at the hospital AFAIK and stores.

"Between mission people wind up running to the hospital in Imperial City to resupply."

You do NOT have to be in the same location to start a trial, just the same zone. Read: You don't have to have every amenity in the same spot because you don't have to have everyone in the same room to launch a trial.

If someone constantly needs inspirations between trial runs, they can sit at the hospital/vendor and the trial will still pick them up from there and drop them back again when complete.

People can be standing at the auction house, store or university crafting table.

There is no need to 'run back and forth' to a central location to launch trials.

Studio 55, and by extension IC, is superior for trials because AFAIK no other Co-op zone has an auction house and university.

Yes other games have official RP servers with extra rules.

Or you can simply put people on /ignore and keep doing what you're doing.

Honestly a new "Trial Launching zone" might be the best possible solution to all this.

Don't be dense. They don't ban people for refusing to leave a zone they ban them for their misconduct while in the zone. Every MMO bans ***holes that are too stupid to know when to quit.

Unfortunately /ignore doesn't remove the impact of people running their toggles, I mean if a zone begins to lag to **** /ignore isn't going to do jack.

I don't know I think asking people to leave a zone is pretty *********, but maybe that's just me.

So it's actually about the toggles and not the non-rpers in an rp zone.

Simply have suppresson on SOME toggles. Problem solved. Now everyone can be in the zone doing whatever the hell they like.

I agree with that suggestion, but doesn't change the fact that NO ONE has the right to ask anyone (politely or otherwise) to leave a zone.

That's what was posted in the first post. Some one complaining about not arranging trials in Pocket D because it was lagging the place up.

If every Tom, Dick and Sally isn't firing off their powers to fight the boredom of waiting for their league to fill, there wouldn't be any problem would there?

As I pointed out to Sam that works both ways. It's just as rude for RPer's to ask Trial launchers to leave a zone as it is for the Trial Launchers to ask the RPer's to leave the zone.

That's . . . NOT the tone I'm getting from this thread. What I'm getting and what someone actually said, is that since the RPers were in Pocket D first, they claim the exclusive right to keep using it.

Which to me is ******* asinine.
